Where are you guys seeing the subox for $20? Most of the preorders I've seen are $50-65. Kbox for $20, I can see... but not the new ones coming in the 2nd or 3rd week of June.

I totally hear you there. There are a couple around here that sell things like coils, drip tips, and smaller stuff at that "a bit more than online pricing/instant gratification markup" calculated in. 9.6% sales tax being a factor as well. Interestingly, this really small joint that opened up here recently is claiming to online price match. But doesn't have super recent product in stock. For instance, he had the Kbox, but only in silver. Had he stocked black, I probably would be vaping it as I type.Unrelated question...Do the local B&M's in your area charge like double retail price? I'll see something online for like 10 dollars off retail and figure it's worth the ten bucks to get it immediately but then go to the shop and they want way over retail. I can't think of any other industry where stores charge over retail. I often notice that if the shops are paying the exact same price I do online they are still making almost double on every sale.

My apologies if that was worded unclearly. I was just explaining my rational for pre-ordering a kit as opposed to waiting for the separate units to be available. If the Subox mod does come out to retail for 25.00, I might be kicking myself. LolThat'll make the cost of my Subox 25.00. It's worth 5 bux more than the Kbox, imo. (fixed pin notwithstanding)

I guess the old adage still holds true. Patience is a virtue.

The small, single stores also have a smaller margin to work with. 10 units doesn't give them much profit, unlike 1,000 units will cut the price by more than half. That's true for any industry. It's hard to find small mom and pop shops because of that.
Yeah I need a place that will price match, not even the best price online but at least the average. New shops pop up weekly out here and I always open with the question "how much are your kanger subtanks" usually like 50-60 and then I leave. I don't want another subtank but I know if they are charging double for them I don't want to engage in a deeper discussion. If I lead with a discussion on RDA's or mods they go into used car salesman mode and it takes like an hour to get out of there.
They aren't selling the box by itself yet so it is just speculation that they will be in the $25 range once they sell the box separate from the tank.
But...you actually see him using the Kbox in his other videos to try out RDAs. I love my Kbox. It is a tank.I do like his reviews but idk about some of his opinions on things. Like the "would I buy it again?" bit that he does. Seems like he would buy everything again idk. Even when he did the Kbox. Like come on man you wouldn't buy that again sheesh. Maybe if he said something like "Personally I would not buy it again but can see how it appeals to some people" would make more sense.
ETA and ya the Evic is fugly especially compared to the subox combo
The vid is 11:39 and if you wanna skip past most of the video being the unboxing, he discusses the paint around the 8:20 mark......Here ya goGuys, first actual look at this puppy! Couple of troubling things .... White one seems to have some build issues ... The ceramic coating seems to be flaking. Atleast in this case it does for the white tank....
Good point. I guess it is also hard because the industry moves so fast. Having a large stock is going to kill you if the new model comes out a month later. Not to mention how many products there are in this industry. Even having one of everything would require a huge store.
Yeah, the owner of the price match shop I mentioned is a really likable fellow, too. I worry that with his policy, he won't be able to stay in business. The small, single stores also have a smaller margin to work with. 10 units doesn't give them much profit, unlike 1,000 units will cut the price by more than half. Nice, down to earth review!Full review of the kit.
If the pin in the base isn't pushed up enough it will not make contact with the bottom of the RBA (which is just slightly shorter that the bottom of the OCC head). Soft spring loaded 510's, like those in the rDNA40, don't put enough pressure on the base pin to push it up enough. A fixed pin, or fairly stiff spring loaded pin, will have no problems.

Tru dat. He's also experimenting with his own line of juices. So, fingers crossed! There's more than one way of making money in a shop. He can view you as an investment as a repeat customer too. It's a two way street in small business.
