I CANNOT get a clean first hit of the sub ohm, or any ohm for that matter! Burnt nasty nasty nasty burnt. Thats all I ever get. I have thrown away like 10 coil heads (literally) I don't know what the hell is going on. I have even primed them over night and still. Wake up thinking surely after sitting in juice for 8 hours no problems. WRONG. Is anybody else having this problem? I'm using everything from 50/50/ to 70/30 PG/VG juice and these coils just don't like to vape unlike my Aspire BVCs. Those bad boys you can pop in and just about hit it soon as your bottom cap is screwed on. These Kanger coils are seriously about to piss me off. I have tried everything. Please somebody explain to me why I am an idiot and can't get them to work! It is a simple fix right? It is all user error right? I have a Curric tank, a Kanger Quad Turbo, a Kanger Giant. And I am almost to the point of hauling them off for scrap metal.

My son and I are both having issues with Kanger Aerotank 1.5 ohm coils. We vape different juices; and both of us find that the flavor goes off before even one tank full is finished. We pulled the atomizer head from one of his after less than 1/4 tank vaped, took it apart, and found the wick really dark colored and the coils crusted. Eww! However, I've now got one going in my Aerotank Mega, with freshly made juice, and am on a second tank full without a problem. QC issues at Kanger? I really don't know. But I'm now doing most of my vaping on Aspire Nautilus BVC coils.

How is that aerotank turbo? worth the $ 40 ? I havent seen any reviews yet, & I wish I had an answer, some good coils some bad

I had an aerotank mega, used it about a week. I got it for the convenience of a tank but I had a major flooding problem with it that I couldn't fix. I put a kick in my mod, and no matter the setting it would flood on me. I was drinking more juice than I was vaping. I thought about making a coil for it, but I would much rather build on my Tobh, so the aerotank sits now in a box with the rest of the stuff I will never use anymore.

I found that the 1.5's seem to be like that. I bought an EMOW Mega which came with a 1.8 and the problem seems to go away. I have a package of 1.8's to use for replacements now but I haven't used one yet. The 1.5's really seem to be voltage sensitive, don't forget to let it sit and soak up some juice for about 5-10 minutes first as well.

I use both the old version (exposed wick ends) and the new version (enclosed wick) 1.5 ohm coil heads in my Aerotank-Mini and my Aerotank-Mega and have not had any problems with either one.

Maybe it's the voltage the OP is using?

For me, I power these 1.5 ohm Protank-3 style dual coils with 4.0v (that equals about 10 watts).

The 2.0 ohm version of these coil heads take about 4.5v to equal 10 watts.

Here might be another problem ... On the newer style coil heads that don't have the exposed wick ends, the juice has to go through those very little holes in the body of the coil head in order to get to the wick inside.

If your using a very high percentage VG juice, this type of juice is very thick ... It may be too thick to feed through those little holes. If so, you can either use a thinner juice such as a 50% PG / 50% VG .... Or use the older style Protank-3 coil heads that have the exposed wick ends (no problem with thick juice feeding the coils with this style head).

I have tried both coil heads, and I prefer the older style with the exposed wicks on both my Aerotank Mini and my Mega.

Good luck ....

Those Kanger coils are pissing me off for different reason - spitting juice out of the tip. At first I thought it must've been a faulty batch (of 5) so went and bought another pack (of 5) - same issue - and first batch were old-style with exposed wick bit and second batch were the new type. After a while, all of them did this in both my Evod 2 and Protank 3 mini. The Evod 2 leaks a lot too for an extra bonus pisser.
I checked online and seems many many people have spitting problems with ALL bottom-coil designs. But you read the retailer sites and they all say how great BDC's are. So this is what I've learnt...
IF YOU PULL HARD WHEN VAPING, STICK CLEAR OF THE OVER-HYPED BOTTOM COILS. THEY WILL BLOW JUICE INTO YOUR MOUTH - WHICH SUCKS!
I started vaping on an iClear 30 (a great tank; and the newer 30S ) but bought these BDCs because I was wanting to cut-down juice consumption by having a small tank to use day-time and read how great this innovative new coil design was. Well, I'm now looking at older top-coil small tanks - Kanger T2, Vivi Nova mini, Vision VT or iclear 16. Not sure which is best out of these, but I have figured that they will not spurt juice into my mouth. Which is a minimum requirement!

I wish mine would go back to occasionally spitting. At least then they would be doing something other than burning up. Have 2 Aerotank V2's. Both coils that camr with each were fine. All 10 replacements burnt up with less than 1/4 tank of juice through them at 8 watts. Same juice, same tanks, same mod, same settings, all primed. Time to shop for a new tank company. Iclear here i come.

I am currently re-building my old Kanger coils. When all the parts wear out and can.t be used, I'll sell or more likely pitch the tanks out in the trash. I, too, am hacked off with Kanger, terminally so.

If you have any Mega's…I'll take 'em! But the new coils spit the top wicks out before they fry from shorts. Good strategy to preempt failure. Oh, must be the juice. LOL

:D

Good luck CMD. Don't blame ya.

You know where to find me.

I've had the Kanger Aerotank Mega for over a month and use the new 1.8ohm dual coils and have been extremely pleased. I am I guess a vaping novice compared to most of you as I have only been vaping for 6 months. I started with the Kanger Evod and would have to replace the coils every 2 days. With the Mega I can get a week out of a coil and the experience is far superior to that of the Evod.

I posted a link on page one on how to rebuild these to a single vertical coil. You should try it the vape is amazing And the coil lasts ages. I am on the same one for about 4 weeks now with the same flavour juice
