I've had an authentic Kayfun Lite + for almost 2 months. It began leaking out the air hole a couple of days ago. No change in the way I make my wicks (organic cotton). I suspect the o-ring in the top cap is worn, and I have to find the box the KFL came in to use the spare 0-ring in it.

Might be a good idea to lube your o-ring with some e-liquid.

For o rings I always use petroleum jelly on the o ring and mating surfaces. It is inert and won't soften the o ring.:vapor:

Petroleum jelly WILL corrode rubber. Look up Aladdin Magic Lube's site for info. on that but I wouldn't use Aladdin's stuff for vaping.
I wouldn't use any petroleum based anything. Vaporized petroleum isn't something that sounds very good to me.
Food grade silicon may be an OK alternative but vaporized silicon doesn't sound good either. I wouldn't use it.

Since I don't have any topper's that have O-rings I cant speak from experience.

You already have PG/VG so why not use it... at least we know what we are using.

I would use whatever Baditude uses. & that goes for everything. He's one you want to follow. [Thanks Bad.]

Hope that helps, be safe & do your homework.
Good luck.

just wondering, is it common for the o-rings to get worn out so quickly? I have mine for about 2mths now and still no issues with the vacuum, although the tank did leak via the side vent on a few occasions due to other factors

Again, I have no experience with O-rings on vaping equip. but have plenty of experience with O-ring general use.
They do wear out due to friction & exposure to contaminants especially if the rings have to slip through any threading's.
With time all rings will wear out or degrade. Keeping an eye on the rings to watch for any wear, cracks, etc. would be a good idea.
They also stretch over time & even though they may appear to be OK they might start to get pinched & or not make a solid seal.

I would think having spare O-rings would be a good idea cause you'll never know it's bad til' you get a leak. Keeping them lubed will extend their life.
How often do folks have to mess with O-rings? Is it every time you clean?

Hope that helps.
