I went to my local shop where they make their flavored juice fresh. I got a 6mg 80% VG cheesecake juice. I hear about people letting their juice steep. What does that mean and do I need to let my new juice steep or could I just start using it. Thanks

Steeping is letting a juice to set awhile before use to allow flavor(s) to meld or strengthen....Keeping the juice in a cool, dark place is recommended for maximum "fresh life".....you may find a particular juice, when very fresh, has a perfume/chemical scent or taste...steeping with the cap OFF for ~24-48 hours often will minimize or eliminate this.....
Note that different juices wil need different steep times...SOME are good FOOB (Fresh out-of-bottle), others may need to steep for days - or even WEEKS - to bring out the best in them.....Only way to know is to experiment...try each one fresh, and if any seem "off", just let them sit awhile (with or without the cap), then try them again....you MAY be pleasantly surprised!!:D
Happy (vaping) Trails!

You can use the liquid immediately, you never "need" to steep, as it should wick, atomize, and all that stuff. It just might taste the best.

Steeping is just giving the flavors a chance to mix thoroughly.
There are methods of speed steeping, using hot water or ultrasonic waves you can learn about, but I don't use so I can not comment on.

My method, let the e-liquid sit around for a week or two before using, keeping it away from heat and direct sunlight. Like keep it in a cabinet and off window sills. There, its steeped.

That simply means they let their juices sit (untouched) for a few days - few weeks. This allows the ingredients to properly mix and give you the best flavor. You don't have to steep if the flavor is where you want it. What I usually do is let my new juices sit in a cold, dry, dark cabinet. I'll vape on my already-steeper flavors and taste the new juice every day or two. Once it gets to that "amazing" point, I'll start using it.
