Hey folks, New guy here just getting started in this vape scene.
Reckon I'll go ahead and shoot my first 20 ?'s
I have an istick with a aspire mini tank. I like its compactness and the battery seems to last all day but it sucks juice. I am filling the thing three or four times a day. The filling part doesn't bother me to badly but the cost of juice is killing me and would like to make my own VG based fruit punch flavored juice. When I started this about a month ago I was a HEAVY smoker so I had the guy mix me up a 30mg nic level. Each time I go up there I'm having him drop the nic down a little and am now at 10mg and intend to drop down eventually to 0.
Sooo! the question is what would be the best nic level additive? I know I don't want 100mg,do I? Would a lesser percentage nic additive be better and use just a drop or two? Also what are the best candy flavorings to use?
Thanks!

Welcome aboard. You might try Flavor Envy. Their nic base is what it says (18mg, 12mg etc). So if you are at 10 then buy the next base up (I think it's 12mg) and some PG and VG to bring it down. If for example you take 12mg and mix it at 25ml 12mg base and 5ml PG or VG with 0mg you would end up 30ml at your 10mg. Hope this helps.

Welcome aboard

The purpose of vaping is to provide the nicotine you crave without the other 4000 chemicals in cig smoke. So, the answer to your nic question is, the lowest level of nic that satisfies your craving. Another factor is what mod and topper you use. I used a pt and 18mg juice until I got a kf3.1. Now I use 9-10mg juice. With the kf3.1. I got nic od symptoms using 18mg juice in the kf3.1.

Finding the juice flavor that satisfies you can be tough. I found one of my ADVs while sampling juice at a local vape shop. The second was found while shopping on-line.

to ecf Clockmaker. So glad to have you here. I started out using 60mg nic base but quickly went up to 100mg because it was more economical. Although you do have to be careful, I don't use any special gloves or anything. Mae your own is the way to go to save bunches of money. And I am proof that is is pretty simple to do.

I buy my vg from Essential Depot and have been very pleased with their product and fast shipping. http://www.essentialdepot.com/servlet/Categories

Of course I buy the gallon because it is a savings.
Nic, I have been very pleased with https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/nicotine-base-flavorings/nicotine-solutions.html

. Another place I like is Liquid Nicotine

.
I have used lots of different flavorings but what I prefer is Vaping Zone and I get their gourmet or super concentrated flavorings. Why? Of course, because I think it is more economical to use them because you use so little in a recipe.

Hope this helped and I know you will have more questions. ECF has some fantastic threads and here is a site that I use. http://ecigvape.com/

I like their calculators.

Good luck to you and most of all. . . have fun.

Sorry to have been gone so long and thank you for all the warm welcomes.
Well since I posted that first thread I've stepped up to a 5ml Nautilus and made a couple mods to it to increase airflow. I went to wally world and bought some VG and Watkins cherry flavoring and after just a few attempts have made a cherry flavored juice that is quite tasty. I'm at 0 nic now and just yesterday craved a cig for the first time since I started vaping but still haven't caved and bought any.
Rat2chat2,thanks for the links. Essentials is right down here in my back yard so to speak and the prices of their products is not to bad but they sure are greedy about shipping huh. Reckon now I need to learn more about steeping and also what would you use if you wanted to add a sweetener, stevia? I'm thinking real cane sugar would be a BIG no-no.
