So after maxing out my vaping on the ego stick batteries I upgraded to the itaste svd loved it looked beautiful work flawlessly then upgraded to the heimdall mechanical and it's oh lawdy so good but I'm still learning about it and I'm curious if anyone has any input on using the igo-L rba or the kanger aerotank (yes I know they are 2.0 ohm stock but I rebuilt it to .6ohm) still not getting as much vape as I would like out of either partially because I still get choked up a little but I think it might be my coils as well the igo l has 7 wraps of 24gauge kanthal works good but it's to hot and burns my mouth so my question is should put a dual coil on it or just change wire gauge and go with more surface area that way? Yes I have the proper batteries and chargers and al that good stuff any help is appreciated thanks to all who can help

Drilled out the air hole believe it's a 1/16 centered on the coil with 8 nic level and my drip tip is from my protank mini nice little tip

1/16 is still going to keep in heat and won't cool the vapor too much, also the drip tip from a protank mini is probably narrow and has a small hole for airflow which is why it feels hot, also you have to get used to sub ohm builds especially coming from non rebuildable tanks. Also what gauge wire are you using?

Its all about airflow, build, and whicking.

Airflow, if you're trying to get more vapor production I would suggest drilling out the hole to at least 3/32nd.
Build, I find for a single coil build, I get better vapor production and flavor out of a twisted 26g microcoil than a single 24g microcoil....Though I do get plenty of both with the single 24g microcoil that is currently in my RDA.
Whicking, the cotton can't be too tight in there but you also don't want it to be too loose. It can be tough to master but there is a sweet spot.

Once again if would appear I already knew my answer before asking never hurts to ask though! Alright I'll drill out the hole and make another hole and just run dual coils then too easy but seriously if you have tried the aerotank with subohm dual coils it's worth looking into nice ande smooth decent cloud good flavor and it's not too warm either

Think about it like you would think about the engine in your car. Combustion produces heat (same as your coil), but it's the cooling system that controls the engine temperature. If the fan stops working, the engine overheats (air flow), or if the radiator runs dry, the engine overheats (wicking).

Also it's just as easy to make a 12 cylinder engine run cool as it is a 1 cylinder engine, same as it isn't volts/ohms/amps/watts that controls the temp of the vape .......... it's all about the cooling system.
