Hi ECF! My name is Adam, and I've been vaping for a little over 2 years after 21 years of a pack a day smoking analogs. Longtime lurker of ECF, first time poster. I quickly got into the hobby after trying the Blu ecig from a friend and felt it was a suitable substitute to real smoking. Well, all hope was lost after that first puff, and next came my first 600mAh eGo device with a C4 tank. That was good for a while, and it obviously kept going from there. After investing in many different VV mods, I got into mechanicals and eventually into building my own mod boxes. My first build was a dual 26650 unregulated mod in a Hammond enclosure, using solid 14 gauge copper wiring and a Fat Daddy Vapes old version of their 510. I build on a cheap clone 28mm dripper almost exclusively now, usually running .200 ohm dual coils on 24 gauge wire. Nothing fancy, but the output is right where I want it and I use a comp cap on the tank for big open draws. I also run a Kanger Subtank for road trips where I'm too lazy to drip and drive.
I also make my own juice. I have a few suppliers for the flavorings, get my own pharmaceutical grade PG/VG, and the same with my concentrated nicotine. I like to know what's in my juice, and making it is half the fun of the hobby (not to mention the insane cost savings). I provide juice to a few of my friends, and they're always throwing money at me to make more, so I basically don't pay anything for my own anymore.
Enough about that. Here is my latest build that I just completed this week. It runs 5 18650 eFest 35A batteries (6 almost fit, but the enclosure was 1/16" too thin and the lid wouldn't quite close properly). I added a newer version and smaller inline voltmeter, and this mod has a 200A mosfet transistor so I'm no longer overloading my 2A button (probably dodged a bullet on my old mod that pushed all of the current right through a 3A button "yikes").
Anyways, here are the specs:
- 5 18650 eFests, 35A, 2500mAh per (total of 12,500mAh) in parallel
- USB recharger circuit built in (auto cutoff at 4.2v)
- 30mm new Fat Daddy Vapes 510 V4
- Runtime at 4.2v full charge - 3 days minimum
- 200A mosfet transistor
- 14 gauge solid copper wire
- 2A LED momentary button
- Blue LED voltmeter
Here are some pics:

Let me know what you think!
