Using distilled water in my diy helped relieve my heavy lung feeling. I would suggest you try a base of 70vg/30pg/5dw. This base will give you a smoother th and may help you as well with your lung "feel". You can go up to 10% with dw, but 5% is a better starting point imo.
Wow.. that might just be the solution I am looking for. When you say 70vg/30pg/5dw, how should I calculate the 5 percent distilled water in the 70vg/30vg? If I plug into the calculator on ELR it subsides for the PG I believe. Do you do it that way or do you just do this way: 5%/100%=0.05% X (total ML) = added distilled water to the mix? Thank you for that suggestion!

Welcome and glad you joined.
No. Each vendor is different. Might want to stick to blenders that claim natural or organic (price tends to be much higher) flavors, you really have to read everyones MSD sheets for each flavor.
re: MSDS / GRAS
Thank you for the welcome and for informing me about the MSD sheets. Here's my problem though, I don't know exactly how to read these sheets and how to find out if that certain flavor can be a problem for some users. But I will continue looking into it further and try to figure out what relates. Thank you!

On the ELR calculator there is a line for the dw(water/vodka/pga). It doesn't displace your pg. That is why I suggested you up the vg some. Saw your post you were liking 60vg/40pg base so I would use 65vg/35pg/5dw to keep the viscosity you like. When you enter the recipe and scroll down to PG/VG ratio you will see 35/65. To the calculator the dw does not factor into your ratio.

Hope this makes sense to you. I am not very good at explaining things in print.:)

Hello and welcome to ECF.

No, as @PJReid said there isn't a list of flavorings that are bothersome to vapers.

There is literally no flavoring that bothers me.. none. There are some I don't like the taste of, but none I react to.

Everyone is individual, and part of vaping is experimental, finding out what you like and don't like, and even what doesn't react with your body well.

Much of all of the above will often be unique to you, other things you may find some people with close to the same experience.

Good luck to you, and have fun learning!

... And I don't think I would be needing those funnels because I am using syringes without the pin attached (I cut them off) and they're giving me the advantage to fill with ease. I am just having trouble with the nicotine because it's VG based and I end up using more but now I am keeping it below what my calculator shows.

If you mean you Cut the Sharp Point off the syringe, you don't have to if you don't want to.

You could just by Blunt Tip Luer Lock Syringes like this...

Yes thank you so much for your reply and for your warm welcome. I might have been trying different ratios and working with my nicotine while you were writing that thus the late reply. Yes I been working around all ratios and getting use to what works best for me. I am really enjoying the hype around 60vg/40pg. And like the others said, I did bring my nicotine down and it's a lot more enjoyable to me with pretty much better results. I was adding about 5-7 drops of mint just to get a little bit of flavoring for my testing but I realized it's not that bad by itself for testing either. I did order about 20 different flavors and will be doing about 3-4 different makes off of ELR. Like you said, I did kind of change up on the flavoring percentage a bit depending on the recipe. I did find some great makers on there that are doing exactly what I am hopefully going to like. Some that are using less flavoring to get it right. Thank you once again for taking your time to write up, and for informing me about the DIY methods.

It sounds like you are well on your way. Just Remember to keep Detailed and Accurate Records of EVERYTHING you do.

Because the Worst is when you struggle with a Recipe, but thru Adding More of this and Less of that you finally get it Perfect.

But when you go to make it Again, you Can't Remember who much of This and how much of That you used?
