hello to all-
I had been reading these forums for a while b4 i got up the courage to actually purchase an ecig, after doing lots of research..been a heavy smoker foir almost 37 odd years, and i'm so amazed at how much i love to vape. Glad i chose the EGO model, purchased from a local company, been very so far, got the kit and some juice, and off I went!
To my and my husbands amazement, after only two days, i'd already cut my cigg smoking in HALF, it goes down every day, he still smokes, and finally tried a vape off of the ego, and actually liked it, think i'll surprise him with his own kit for fathers day . . . oh how much money i'll save . . . .
Thanks to all who contribute here, and the great advice offered. I'm forever grateful!

Welcome :) After I started vaping my hubby quickly switched to vaping as well. Luckily he was a light smoker and only did so when he was playing his PS3 and drinking, lol. I guess he figured going outside to smoke his nasty sticks would interrupt his gaming, lol. His journey has been quite simple...the first juice he tried, he liked and has no desire to experiment. :)

Here's hoping your hubby has the same easy switch & congrats to you!! I honestly believe that e-cigs are the best. My girls (8& 11) could not be happier that we no longer smoke. They still tell me all the time that they are SO happy that we quit smoking and started vaping. I hope they never pick up either of the habits, but if they do one day in the future...I hope it's vaping!

my vendor sells a mini kit, which i think may be more along the lines of what my hubby would feel comfy with - very affordable, and i've already got the juice, and power supplies. I went with the manual eGo, which i'm so glad I did, my salesmen let me try both, which was great. I went to the Monkees concert last Saturday night, and vaped away with no problems, while i danced to "last train to clarksville" ...lol....
I think the actual selling point for him was when he saw how much we had saved in just a few days . . . money talks, :laugh:thats for sure . . . .
i'm still learning, and these forums are invaluable. I'm hoping to be analog free very soon, my hardest times are in the morning with my coffee, and later in the evening, if i have a glass of wine.
Any suggestions on how to kick these yearnings??
thanks all!
Jill

The most helpful point I can give about kicking the extra cravings you're having is to get a small bottle of a higher nicotine level. What mg of nic are you using now? I made the mistake of STARTING with 36mg! lol Learned my lesson very quick and now I am a normal 18mg with the occasional 24mg if I'm in a hurry and need my fix. But, odds are, if you are still having cravings, that might mean you need more nic during those vaping periods.

They suggested i start off with 8mg nicotine, since i smoke "light" cigarettes, but i think i may need to do what you suggest, get a bottle of the higher mg, for those tough times, as i would really like to be "smoke free" ASAP . . . I, like others, here also have found that i MUCH prefer the flavored liquids, thank goodness i tried a mango juice when i bought the kit - i love it, and very rarely use the tobacco flavor . . . . lol . . . . who knew??? This is all so new to me . . . It hasn't even been a week yet, but i'm so glad i finally started my journey.

I agree, I smoked a pack a day of Marlb Reds for over 35 years and found that the 18 - 24mg nic fix was my sweet spot... not quite analog free yet after 3 weeks but consumption has been halved. Hope to be free of them soon. I vape at work and on the ride home yesterday (before any analogs) I could actually smell the lake I drove by every day... go figure? Keep at it. I also have the Ego but am looking for a suitable mod to get to the "next level".

You mentioned maybe getting your husband a mini kit. I have both the eGo and the standard 510 e-cigs. I find the 510 to produce less vapor, and need to constantly charge the batteries. I do like them, though, as they look and feel more like a cig. Make sure that whatever kit you get him has the same threading for atomizers, etc as yours. Typically, I think the eGo's are 510 threaded. That way, you have interchangeable parts, saves on money. Also, if you do go mini, get a PCC for it as they need to be charged every 1.5 to 2 hrs of vaping.

For your morning coffee cig needs, try 16-24mg juice. May I suggest coffee flavored? It is my favorite juices so far. Want2vape's campfire coffee, and tabak especial are both good coffee/tobacco mixes, and go great with actual coffee.
