Just joined the forum and wanted to say hello.I found the ECF when I was researching ecigs and got some great info.I was a 2 pack a day smoker for 30 years, and had tried to quit several times using the traditional methods with no luck.A friend of mine ordered a V2 starter kit and told me about it,so I thought maybe this could work.I started with the FIN kit from wallyworld as I didn't want to spend a lot on something I may not use,and returned that since the cartos kept leaking. Then bought an ego mini from my local smoke shop and that worked better but I was still smoking analogs too.I finally committed to stop analogs, the fact that my state increased the tax to help pay for the new Vikings stadium did play a small part in the decision, and on July 27,2013 at 9:15pm I smoked my last analog and haven't had one since.Great thing is,four vape shops opened where I live,so I have a great selection of hardware and juices to pick from.I have been caught up in the hardware and spending a bit to find what works best for me.My current setup is an ego-t and ego-mini with a Kangertech mini pro tank,a couple of Halo G6 batteries with a Halo mini tank since I don't like cartos, and yesterday I bought a Joyetech eRoll starter kit for my stealth rig.My doctor is constantly trying to get me to quit smoking since I have heart disease and COPD,and since I started vaping I feel a lot better.Look forward to some great times on the forum, and if any other members live in my area,it would be cool to meet some more vapers.
Steve

St Cloud does seem to be the "place to be" for that in MN right now. Good job on the quitting, you will be breathing easier starting immediately and will continue to improve over time.

Good point about the sin tax stadium, I wonder how many others have decided to seek alternatives because of the tax hike? I hope it was a lot, enough to jeopardize the funding for the new stadium even. That would be a good problem to have I think. Lives trump football anyday.

Minneapolis and st paul area is great right now for getting liquid and gear, there are tons of stores open now. I use an eRoll and eGos, I noticed when I was in uptown the other day that a store sells the eRoll and parts, so I don't even need to order online anymore. There is a MN Vapers group that meets up every other month, but I haven't gone yet.

The tax hike here really hurt cig sales and boosted ecig sales, I have talked to two stores (gas station and a liqour store) that haven't had to restock cigs yet since the hike, and they used to have to very often.

Count me among the number. American Spirits were my brand. They went up to $8.98 a pack and I got real serious about vaping again! Welcome OP - I'm in Plymouth so not too far away from St Cloud!

Hey there fellow Minnesotan! I just started vaping as well! Where are the vape shops close to you? I live about 20 minutes from St Cloud, and would love some better equipment than the smoke shop equipment. But I like to look at stuff in person before buying. Any help would be appreciated.
There is one on the east side by the ace bar,one downtown across from the paramount theater, one on 33rd next to bravo burrito, one in waite park behind the bank next to kmart, and a fifth one just opened on 10th street in the strip mall where anytime fitness is.If you want specific info let me know and I'll pm you the names, addresses, and phone numbers.

Hey, love the goat picture:laugh
As for the sin tax, it seems we're living in confusing times.

Do you have info on the group that meets? I'd love try to get to one!

I'm also in Plymouth, MN. Have you guys visited Vermillion River e-Juice in Lakeville? It's worth the trip.
