I've found the 1100mAh lasts me for a day at least. I put it on to charge when I go to bed, and take it off in the morning.

The nautilus looks cool, and apparently vapes really nice, but it's a little larger than what I'm looking to do. I may go for one of the 1600mah vision spinners, in which case it would fit pretty perfectly.Although, so would an Aerotank 2.....

Have you looked at the aspire nautilus mini?

Welcome to ECF, nice to have another fellow canuck.:)
I can help you decide on if you want to rebuild or not. Take a spent protank head, heat it up a bit and remove the wicking leaving the naked coil intact. Dryburn the naked coil clean. Get a qtip swab and pull off the swab, remove about 1/3 of the cotton from the swab, twist into a fine point and insert into the coil until it begins to bunch up as your pulling through, trim with nail clippers, prime the cotton with juice, put back together(don't need the flavor wicks ontop no more) and take a few unpowered hits. Then take short and progressively longer hits. This is just a small taste of what your instore for if you decide to rebuild, your vape quality will drastically improve.

Welcome to ECF!

My opinion (and it's just that) is that you should first make sure you can actually quit with your setup and gain a bit of experience. before spending too much money; you might decide you want a mod sooner than you think. At your stage, an ego variable with a Nautilus would be like night and day though and the variable battery would be a much better backup for a mod (a backup is definitely a good idea if you want to avoid reverting back to cigs in case of problems.)

You definitely want to get a mod before getting into rebuildables, else you won't have enough power to take full advantage of it and with a nautilus, you can still get quite a punch out of it. One warning I wasn't given: when you get a rebuildable on top of your mod, you will more than likely need much lower nic content in your juice. I had instant headaches with 18mg juice in my Russian 91%.

Just curious, but are there many vapers in PEI? I have been to Halifax and Ottawa at least 3 times each this year alone and the only fellow vapers I have seen on the streets so far are downtown Montreal, but they're definitely present. Having a great vape shop in the area certainly has made quite a difference IMO.

[EDIT]: AlterUrEgo seems to have a nice tip, but be aware that the coil is easier to work with on a rebuldable than in a throw-away atty... don't get trown off if it seems like nanotech work :D

And hello to you fellow canuck

PEI only has about 125k population for the entire island, I think.... I've seen a couple people around, like, literally 2, so I would imagine there are a few more. I used to live in Ontario, and have a buddy in Ottawa who's told me about a couple of shops in the area that aren't bad.

There's only one vape store around, and there's a few things that irk me. I asked about an Aerotank mini (he had lots of Kanger stuff) and was told they're not even available yet, so anything off of the internet is fake. Also, they only sell premade juices, 18mg or lower, and looked at me like i had 2 heads when I asked about any DIY stuff at all (nic base, pg/vg, kanthal, wicks, etc)... "I don't have any DIY stuff. You're not going to find that here, so if that's what you're looking for you can just go somewhere else." When I asked him why he won't sell any of "that stuff" he replied "I'm not really into shooting the $#!& with you all day, (cursing in front of my 10 year old son) so if you want to know something about the products I sell, fine, otherwise...." *nod towards the door* Not exactly market building, or conducive towards getting any business from me, that's for sure. I can't imagine it staying around very long if other potential customers get the same treatment.

Luckily, there is INTERNET. I can buy all the 100mg nic, kanthal wire, silica wicks, flavor concentrates, AND AEROTANK MINIS that I want, no BS, and 25-50% lower prices. As far as a mod, I really don't want to carry around a police sized flashlight looking stick, box, puck, pipe, etc :) Something the size of a 1600mah vision spinner with a full sized aerotank or nautilus mini would be about as large as I would go. I like the pen sized form factor, which is why I thought a Kayfun mini clone might be fun to play with, or even rebuilding the protank 2 coils just to give it a try.

Wow, this must be his first customer based business and not for very long with that attitude. That's definitely no way to get your name out in the street. I can understand the demand is not there for advanced stuff, and that he has to limit himself to whatever will pay the bills, but he should expect to be asked about it once in a while. If he had some skills, he should even expect some people to want to know more soon enough. Perhaps vaping gear is just not his main revenue...

The best advice ever is: start with what works for you, from wherever works for you :)
