Hello all, I'm Joshua from Charleston, West Virginia, 28 years old. A little back story, I smoked about two packs a day of analogs for about 7 years. Stopped cold turkey when taxes were increased in my state and was smoke free for 2 years, until I went out one night and found a pack of "tiny cigars" (comes in a pack of twenty, filtered and the size of a 100 cigg), and wanted some. Was a half a pack a day smoker of those for about 3 years and finally decided to try vaping and picked up a starter kit from a gas station, the "Haus" set by mystic, consisting of a 650mah ego battery, bottom coil evod style tank, charger and a bottle of Joost juice e liquid from a local B&M. Never smoked agian since I bought that kit, about 2 months ago. Ended up soon after with some hand me down items from customers of mine at my job that upgraded and moved on to better items like a Lex 12 Staple kit and a Vaporin dual top coil tank and ego battery. All three kits were great for a while, but were relegated to back ups and/or passed on to others not sure were to start or who wanted to try out vaping to see what it was all about.

Today, I have next to my computer a istick 50w mod and a subtank mini with a .3 ohm, organic cotton build in the RTA, so I have been seized by the hobby side of vaping as well as the means to a end from traditional tobacco products. Also have a istick 30w, a Kanger evod variable voltage 1000mah battery and a off brand 1100mah pass-thru ego battery as backups, along with a few single bottom coil tanks from various companies.

Outside of vaping I enjoy metal recycling, otherwise known as a scrapper, car audio, vehicles in general and recreational target shooting and just firearms in general. I work for a medical supply company as a delivery driver. Not much to say, but I have lurked for a couple months on the forum and thought I would join so I could add to the conversations when my limited knowledge or opinion of a product I have owned or used could be of value.

I get jealous at times of all the talk of B&M stores some other users have nearby in droves. Outside of gas stations and tobacco stores, there are 5 B&M stores in a 30 mile radius. Most of them are a pinch pricey, (think $50 for a istick 20w or $85 for a istick 30w, just the battery, no ego adapter, charger. $55 nautalis mini's etc...) but found a local shop, won't mention name since not sure if that is allowed, that has fair prices and will be a routine shop for me. Actually bought my istick 30w from there, as they had them for $47, by far the best price locally, and when I asked about kanthal, before I decided to buy the istick, the owner grabbed a spool of 26 gauge A1 kanthal and said if I was just starting to get into building he would give me a "few feet" (ended up a "few feet" to him was around 30 feet...) of wire free of charge to see if it was something I wanted to pursue. I now support that store and refer many people asking about local stores looking for great prices and service. Also his was the only store in the area to even begin to have the newest devices like the istick 50w and other very new products, still at great prices. A relative in my wife's family is working to open a B&M as well in the next couple months and I'am excited about that.

Before I begin to ramble, thanks to the forum owner(s) and admins for being a part of such a great forum, and look forward to being a member!

to ecf Joshua. Nice to meet you and so glad that you are here. Congrats on the vaping. It is so wonderful. I have a friend in Charleston that I want to go visit this summer. Lovely place. Very nice introduction you have here. Look forward to reading more from you. Have fun and just make yourself at home. . .

Thanks a lot for the welcome everyone. Sir2fya, love those pics. The bridge at the oakwood exit is only about 2 miles from my house, I live on the west end of Charleston near Patrick street plaza and see/drive that daily. Born and raised in WV, lived in Atlanta for a while a few years ago but came back. There is things that bug me about WV but I don't think I will ever leave again.

Seems every time I search anything vape related this forum was normally always the first search result in search engines so figure its a good place to be.

There are things that only folks from WV know.

For instance, you recently had a train derailment that made the news. It was really fun listening to all of the national news media trying to say Kanawha River. (hint: it's only 2 syllables)

Kanawha is an indian word meaning "place of the white rock", referring to a salt deposit east of the capitol. (also fought over in the civil war) I was born and raised here, but every time I moved away I always wanted to come back.
