So I just wanted to talk about my vaping journey and give a little introduction to everybody here!

I'm in my mid-20's, and I smoked for about 6 and a half years. I was never a really heavy smoker, though. I went through around 2-3 packs a week, but I also dipped a lot too, so I pretty much had my nicotine all day in one form or another.

As is usually the case, all my friends smoked and most of them dipped as well. Some of them smoked more than me, some less, but we were all participating in an ugly habit - and we knew it too, it was just something none of us ever talked about. It just became a part of our lives.

Then, maybe around 3 years ago one of my friends started vaping. Now I had no idea what vaping was, and a lot of us actually made fun of him at first for being a "fake smoker" and all that. But eventually, after he kept bringing it up again and again, I realized that what I was doing to my body needed to stop. I decided that I didn't want to be a slave to tobacco for the rest of my life.

So we went down to a local brick and mortar, and I picked up my very first ecig - a Kanger Evod starter kit. I grabbed some liquid, and that was it. I loved it.

I loved that I didn't smell like an ashtray. I loved that I could taste and smell again. I loved that I could run again! I was an athlete in high school, and it was amazing to feel my lung capacity come back. I loved that I could do it in my room or in my car and nothing would stink. I loved that I didn't have to deal with people constantly trying to bum smokes off me all the time hahaha

So I stuck with the evod for awhile and it did the trick, but I recently upgraded to an MVP v2, and it is mind-blowing! I love this damn box. I've discovered so many great liquids and flavors, and I'm considering trying my hand at rebuildables next.

But the best part of this story is not just about me, but about my friends. Not only do my friend and I vape, but we got another of our friends to make the switch, another one of our friends has quit nicotine altogether, and another one of my friends and his dad have both made the switch to vaping.

One of the coolest things happened the other day too - a stranger approached me as I was vaping at a local shopping center and asked me if I was using one of those "electronic cigarette things". We had a little conversation about how they worked and what it was, I answered a lot of questions and I gave him the name of one of my usual local shops for him to check out. Hopefully he went and we stole another one away from big tobacco!

And one last thing about my friend, the one that quit nicotine altogether? Well he just had his first child, and none of us smoke anymore. I think that's a damn beautiful thing.

Vape on brothers and sisters, vape on!

That is really inspirational. :)

Not all of us had such an easy time with the switch . . . I'm glad for those who do.

I'm not lost on the fact that I've been fortunate. It hasn't been easy to stay away completely though. I've had a few cigs here and there, especially when I'm out drinking with my friends. But those times have been fewer and further between lately.

Although there was one time early on when I only had one tank, and it broke! So I caved in and bought a pack of smokes and a tin of dip and used that until I got a replacement.

Lesson learned: Always have a backup!

Congratulations on the switch. I think many people start with the Evod and then move up. I just got the MVP II after another one that didn't work well. It does make a huge difference. I am not ready to rebuild but that may change. I did take apart my Kanger well by mistake but I got it together again and still have some work to do with it. I can't get the bottom screwed off for some reason but it gave me a reason to get another one.

Congratulations! I love it when people ask me about it, I pass out cards with discounts I've received with orders and tell them about the local B&M shops to stop by and try the flavors! I've given 2 of my starter sets to friends to help get them started! They are all real curious as to how it all works and how long it's been since I had a cigarette! Going on 4 months and I will never go back!
