Good Afternoon ECF!

I just became a member of this forum because I think it's the best next step to learning all of the things I need to become a more educated Vaper (Vaporer? lol).

I took the slow journey from smoking cigarettes, to an ego basic set up, to a decent mod. Now I am getting into Mechs. I actually just bought the Panzer Blackhawk and awaiting on it in the mail! :)

I have started building my own coils about a month ago and it's a worlds of difference!

I do have a question based on the experience of you guys here at ECF... Do you guys consistently lower your nicotine content in your juices when you think you can go lower? I'm at 11mg right now. 18mg is too harsh for me and 6mg is not enough of a throat hit. I've been stuck at 11mg for 2 months now and can't seem to stray away from it. Do you guys have a preference for nicotine content or does that change based on the time, the flavor, the PG/VG mixture, etc.
Just trying to get a handle on what you guys have experienced.

thank you all! I look forward to reading all of the posts!

Hello lohr700! Welcome to ECF. Lowering nicotine level is a personal decision. I want to get down to 0mg and I'm pretty close to getting there. In 90 days I have went from 24mg to 3mg and I will be at 2mg before this week is over. I just kept reducing it a step at a time. DIYing my own juice makes it easy as I can drop 1mg at a time and don't even notice.

dripdaze - 90 days? That's very impressive for such a big drop. I only started at 18 then when down to 11 and that's where I feel the most comfortable for now. How do you like making your own juices? I heard you can by the majority of the liquids needed to mix from walmart and food stores.

HighEnd - I'm the same way when I drink from time to time! but instead of increasing nicotine, I just increase the wattage on my VW device, have you tried doing that instead?

DIYing your juice can be fun and frustrating. The frustrating part is finding a good recipe. Things that sound good don't always taste good. So far I haven't made anything I can't vape but some juices are definitely better than others.

The fun part is making exactly what you want. My latest batch is 2mg nic in 40/60 pg/vg with a very tasty RY4 recipe.

I don't know about getting the flavorings locally. I get mine from RTS. The PG and VG is available locally and I am going to be getting some VG from CVS pretty soon.

Howdy lohr and Welcome to the forum! Yes, higher nic can give you a throat hit. So will a higher PG. Drop to 6mg and increase the PG of your liquid. I'm good at 50/50 @ 12-18mg. What PG/VG are you at now?

I'm currently using 80%VG 20%PG and 11mg Nicotine. I like a slight throat it but not that much. PG (propylene Glycol) give me a different throat hit than I like and also is metabolized into lactic, pyruvic (a ketone), and acetic (vinegar) acids. I am very active and I rather have VG (Vegetable Glycerin) which is a normal product of fat metabolism and is readily converted to glucose for metabolism.

I want to eventually go to 100%VG. Maybe if I do that and leave it at 11mg I won't notice that much? Also I am getting into Mechs and rebuiladables nowadays and the added benefit of amazing flavor you get from those setups is making me forget about the nicotine content
