Hi Guys,

Finally, after a lurking around, reading all the great things here.

Got my APV last week. Not too used to the vaping technique. Still coughing my lungs out.

I'm vaping Halo's kringles curse at 6mg. My throat gets extremely irritated once the vape hits. Any advise will be greatly appreciated!

What APV and atty are you using? Do you know the PG/VG ratio of your juice?

The PG content may be a bit high for you. As such, I asked about the ratio.

I believe (since Halo doesn't post their PG/VG ratios) it's a 50/50 blend. Since Kringle's Curse is more peppermint menthol than spearmint menthol I would recommend taking shallower hits than you would with analogs and holding it in for awhile before exhaling. APV and atty info would help to make a better recommendation though.

I'm using a mvp 2.0 and an aspire nautilus mini. Mvp is set at 3.5V

Read that Halo juices are majority PG. Not sure how true.

Everytime I try to inhale. I cough immediately once the vapor hits the back of the throat.

I did a shallow inhale just now(thanks for the tip). Tastes great! On exhale feels super dry though.

Welcome Boba! You can try a lung inhale vs a mouth to lung.
I made a batch of 95% VG juice and it's super mild on the throat. Find a vape store near you that mixes in house and try a 100% VG blend.

Congrats and welcome Boba! Inhaling from an e-cig is definitely different than from an analog. Stick with it and you'll get the hang of it!

You might be experiencing some of the transitional hacking coming from cigarettes to vaping, but I think the others above might have you on a better track.

Shallower/slower hits when vaping do help (until you get used to vaping a little more.)

Drink lots of water while vaping as well. Maybe try changing the voltage. I like to vape my Halo eliquids at 6.0V with a 1.8 ohm coil. Just my personal taste. Tinkering and playing around are the best parts of using a APV though.
