It has literally been over a decade since I have posted on a forum, sadly! I hope I am not messing anyone's stuff up...

Anyhow, hello there! I am Kate, I started vaping and quit smoking about a year ago, and I feel fantastic! I LOVE vaping, trying different juices, mods, tanks, pods, etc...I have a bunch of different devices and juices, and I love to read about this shiz!

I'm hoping to find out some ways I can fight vape bans in my current, disgusting, state (NY), and ways to fight federal bans, as well...I'm honestly willing to really do whatever it takes, not just sign a petition...with the exception of an assassination, lolol!

everyone stay well, and I look forward to reading upon your forum!

Welcome, Kate, and congratulations on the switch!

I don't know anything about activism in your locality, but I agree with the sentiment. As someone who's benefited from vaping, it's incredibly frustrating to think of people being denied that opportunity or even pushed back to cigarettes.

Welcome Kate and joining CASA is not a bad idea. You are not breaking any laws by having someone out of state ship something forward to you. If it's a "personal gift" it's not illegal. This is what I hear. I don't know if it's a possibility for you but I COMPLETEY agree it's AWFUL.

Welcome to ECF and no, so far you did not break the site :)

It seems that the ability to vape is getting tighter and tighter. And, some states are tighter, yet.

Being self-sufficient is the wisest thing, I believe. Having a personal stash to survive the crisis is important. For me, I have stockpiled good mods, toppers that I never passed on, and DIY supplies like nicotine and juice flavors for DIY. I think it has been a year or so since I bought anything and I think I can go for ten years.

Joining CASAA is good. They have a sub-forum on here. I have written my story and sent it to newspapers/politicians as an Opinion/Editorial piece and the newspapers have published them. It is just a story of where I was, the strength of not smoking that I have, and the benefits vaping gives my healthy future.

We really need people to stand up and be counted and to stand by our success.

Fortify your supplies and spread your successful story. No longer smoking is a great achievement.

Congrats!! and welcome home.

Welcome to ECF,I'm always glad to add another vaper to our family.

ECF NEW MEMBERS WELCOME..jpg

And even thou I'm in Spain my best wishes go out to you folks in the US,I'm truly sad that you guys have to go thru all that.

Here we ok for now but we basically in ''waiting for the other shoe to drop mode'',vaping is becoming more of a thing which means the Spanish government is losing money from the over taxation they exhort over cigarettes.

So yeah,I'm expecting a ''special'' tax on nicotine coming our way.

Best wishes goes out to you folks over in the US,hope those blind politicians can open their eyes and decide what is best for their employers (the citizens) and not what is best for their wallets.

Lolol!
Thank you for the suggestion, I hadn't even thought about this idea, and I didn't know that a gift is ok...I honestly have to really get into the specifics of the ban...honestly, every time I do, my blood begins to boil...i mean, how foolish can people really be? These bans are so many levels of wrong, it's insanity...

1st, Spok is awesome...just to get that out!

This is how, and why the bans started here...what I hope, for you all in the EU who are up and coming vapers (congrats by the way to all who vape to quit smoking...it IS an accomplishment, even though folks like to act like it's not) , is that your governments find ways to make money on the stuff, before it gets too big to control...so sad, and twisted for me to even say this, it sounds messed up, but maybe your big tobacco companies will invest, somehow, and the government can take some stupid tax that is reasonable, and you can vape without bans, and without the propaganda, and the people fooling themselves into believing everything that they hear on TV...vaping openly and honestly, lol! Because cigarettes are the killer...I habe maybe TOO MUCH to say on these issues, so I'm so sorry to ramble...
I appreciate you taking the time to reply and welcome me!

Hi Katie! I'm also new here...brand new, in fact. I can't say I have followed much in the news about which states are trying to ban and what these bans are covering exactly. In my opinion, it is big tobacco and pharmaceutical lobbies in Washington complaining about all the money they are losing. The FDA charging for ("regulating") the sale of e-juice products along with the fictitious articles about popcorn lung are meant to discourage the vaping community and to scare the general public into believing (and voting) that vaping should be banned for our own sakes. Keep on fighting for what you know to be true and know you're not alone in this!

I appreciate your warm welcome!

I do the same thing! I see a sale on something I like, I get 3! I have a juice supply that should last a while, but, I do sometimes worry about expiration...I just try to keep it all safe from temperature extremes, and too much light...I am going to start building my own attys, though, because I'm thinking that is best, for bans, and availability, right now...cost, too!
I am soooo willing to do whatever it takes to keep these bans from keeping and taking hold of the country...I wish that I knew a public figure to tell people how ridiculous these bans are...there are just so many solutions, it's insane! Why not ONLY sell online, with a scanned ID, and in smoke shops, with a scanned ID, like at clubs...that simple...what kids have credit card access, without a parent, anyhow?

It turns out, people are really sheep, at heart, and don't think for themselves, unless it is something that they care about, personally...it's REALLY insane, because vaping has to save lives! There is just no way it's THAT unhealthy, when I feel so much better, in so many ways...and smell better! Take care!

My sentiments, precisely! It is insane that people are foolish enought to believe this crap, and that there aren't several solutions to this, "health crisis", where kids are vaping...you crack down! You impose crazy penalties to the people who sell to minors, I mean, duh, then you only sell online, where you can scan a license, then check it against a photo, with approval to purchase ejuice, contingent upon comparison of the 2, and acceptance, or in places that they have an ID machine, or software to scan licenses, and ID cards, like they have at bars and clubs...I mean why not outlaw everything kids do illegally, then? It is so, so wrong...people believe anything, if the media tells it to them right! You are 100% correct, it's about $, and that's it!

...and it's nice to meet you, too, lolol! Sorry, that usually comes BEFORE the rant
I just get so irritated by bans on vaping! It really improved my health!

Kids are going to be kids and they are incredibly resourceful when they want something. If it was about the flavors being "marketed for kids" then where's the ban on flavored chewing tobacco or pipe tobacco? Or for that matter the bubble gum flavored medicine I used to chug as a kid?
