Hello, my name is Bob, and I am in Colorado.

I have been a smoker for 10 years, and my Lady has smoked for about 16

We got some Colorado E-Smokes colesman 510 ecigs, and some basic tobacco flavored juice.

I have not had a cig since Sunday morning. Waking up Monday and not having a Marlboro for the first time in 10 years was wonderful.

The little 510 units are pretty good. I went with the tank cartridges over the standard stock ones.

I go through 1.5-2 mil a day so far.

I just found this forum, and am very excited to upgrade/ get the most out of vaping.

Any good or bad info on our little Colesman510 setups?

Sure!!

I guess the Co. E-Smoke Colesman 510 is a knockoff/clone of an eGo? 510?

Some Vape Guru can confirm this hopefully.

I like it for what it is, but am interested in maybe upgrading the atomizer and getting some new flavors.

I currently have the tank cartridges, and they seem to work better than the ones w/ the foam insets that the little 510 came with.

but there are these little ergo t set ups that seem to run about $40 that I may get if they are considered better than my 510's.

If you later want more battery life, you can get an Ego, as they're fully compatible. For now, if your setup is working, it's perfect for you! And congratulations, I've just quit so I know what you mean.

I'd suggest you pick up some 510 cartomizers to try out. (Don't get low resistance for your battery, just regular resistance, I think 2.4 ohms.) Cartomizers are easy to use and a lot of people prefer them to cartridge + atomizer. I prefer Boge cartomizers, great flavor. They're like seven or eight bucks for a 5-pack, so there's little downside to giving them a try.

Sweeny Todd, Thank you

So just to help a newb clarify what you are suggesting;

My 510 is currently a 3 part unit, battery, atomizer, and fluid tank.

I can get a "Boge Carto" which will screw into my 510 battery (mine has a button that fires up my atomizer)

The carto is replacing the atomizer and fluid tank? and I just fill the carto directly?

I choose the tanks over the standard foamy things because they allow the fluid to come in direct and constant contact w/ the fluid.

But you're saying a Cartomizer is superior to an atomizer+tank?

His eliquids are way overpriced. 15ml for 20.00 when you can order online 30ml for around 15.00.......some places are as low as 8.00 and others are a little more than 15.00........also there is a much greater selection of juices online with more complex flavors. Some vendors carry 200 plus flavors........Check the Forum Suppliers link at the top of every page. You will get fair prices and great customer service from any of the Forum Suppliers. Eliquid taste is subjective. Order sampler packs from a variety of vendors to help you find your favorites. Also accessories would be much cheaper if ordered online.

Welcome to ECF and congratulations on not smoking!

Cartos vs. tanks is a personal preference. Cartos are relatively cheap, and never hurts to try new items to find your sweet spot.

Burning throat~Are you drinking tons of water? Vaping dehydrates you and need a lot of extra fluids in the beginning. It gets better with time, but I needed to triple my water intake the first month or so.

A lot of vapers get their cartos here. They are a well regarded vendor and the 15 carto deal is a very good price and comes with a drip tip. The Boge cartos are some of the most popular cartos used by members. For your 510, you would need to order SR (Standard Resistance) cartos.
Crystal Clear Vaping

I've never ordered from KBV, but I know a lot of members love their juice. However, I did not see that they offered a Sampler Pack. Several sampler packs of 5 - 5 ml bottles from several vendors would give you a chance to try more flavors and send you on your quest to find your favorite daily vape.....

I'm going to let others suggest the best places to order samplers as I mostly DIY my juice.

Dearme,

Thank you kindly.

I think I am going to order Arnold Plamer and Mocha ice cream flavors from KBV.

And I think that I am just going to order 5 Cartos to try out to see if I prefer them to my tank and atomizer setup.

If I like them, I will order the 15 carto deal from Crystal, but for now, i will just order 5.

And just to confirm, I will be ordering the SR Boges, which should work w/ my 510?

Not a worry at all.

I have a good background in building model planes jets and trucks. They all use "Lipo" batteries, so with the basic info y'all have provided, I understand now the LR is asking too much from such a low capacity batt.

I ordered 5 Boge SR cartos to try them out.

I ordered some juices from KBV as well.

My girl is rolling her eyes as this is quickly becoming another "Bob can build it" hobby

So I ordered 3 flavors from KBV, and 5 Boge Cartos.

I have been hating the taste of my tanks. Intrigued by the cartos, on lunch I went to the Co. E-Smoke store and picked up a 5pack of prefilled.

Hole Smokes (pun intended) the cartos are a night and day difference. The good taste is back, and the burn is gone!!!!

I am stoaked!!! I am officially a carto guy
