Hello! First, I want say that this forum is so helpful! I am so thankful for what I've learned here and kudos to those helping newbs like me.

I smoked a PAD for close to 25-years. Late last year, I picked up an EVOD starter kit to see if e-cigs could pull me in enough to get away from smoking. It did ok, but lost its luster w/in a week or so. Constantly having to charge it (with a special charger), no adjustments, etc... Fast forward to 3-weeks ago. Tired of the smokers cough, shallow breaths, generally feeling run down, I came here and started some research. I landed on the MVP 2.0 w/the iClear 30. I also got an Aerotank for those tank-busting juices and two (2) EVOD tanks. I still had two clear tanks that came with the starter kit, which cannot be rebuilt.

Tomorrow, Saturday, will be 2-weeks with no cigarettes. Cravings have been (really) hard at times, but the MVP and a good variety of juices is doing the trick for me. Cough has already almost gone away, although I might have "Quitters Flu" or some kind of sinus infection. Breathing is much better and my energy level throughout the day increased to the point it was hard for me to believe. Gonna stick with it, seems that my old Pall Mall Blues get much less appealing by the day.

Here is what I have found that works (so far) for me. 1) Variable voltage mod with a huge battery. Variable voltage has allowed me to turn the wattage down and get more flavor from some juices. Also, having to constantly worry about a small battery going dead and carrying the charger everywhere doesn't qualify as a "benefit" to me compared to a carton of smokes and a lighter. The MVP easily lasts 2-3 days and uses the same charger as my Android phone. 2) Variety of juices. My taste seem to be changing frequently. Also, the wick may get burned or something and the juice taste like crap. I keep about five tanks with different juices and when a craving hits, I'll sometimes take 3-5 puffs from each one. Gets me over the hump.

Here's my question. What is the best cheap clearomizer for the MVP? I can get five EVOD atomizers for $7. But, I've found they leak very easy on the MVP. Seems that if they're screwed too tight, the battery pin will push too hard and break the o-ring seal. It's got me about three times so far. Overall, I have to say that for me, the iClear 30 has been the most reliable and delivers the best taste/cloud. Next, the Aerotank. It's so easy to clean and maintenance, but not as good on the flavor (it's not bad either). Lastly, the two disposable clearos that came in the EVOD starter kit. I'm still using them with great taste and clouds! BTW, with all of these, I use 50/50. Have some 60(PG)/40(VG) on the way from mount baker because it seems like the taste of each juice gets weaker every day. Hoping the increased PG will help out.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

For now I would stick with what you are happy with. Something easy and you can replace the coils easily in them. But if over cost is concern, dropping a small amount for an RBA tank and learning to build a coil will be cheaper then buying replacement coils. But I wouldn't worry about that right now.

And the flavor is not getting weaker.. you are getting vapor's tongue. Drink plenty of water to help stay hydrated and cleanse your pallet. You can avoid this by change up your liquid as well. Sweet in one tank and maybe a cinnamon or coffee flavor in another. This will subside in time as your taste buds rejuvenate and your sense clear more. During this time it will be even harder to stay with it, but it will pass.

I find that changing flavors often helps increase the flavor. I have several mods, each with a different juice, and usually change after a few puffs.

As for the clearomiser I like the EVODs. Some flavors of juice, citrus and cinnamon mainly, will crack a plastic tank, like on the iClear and disposable. I like the EVODs better than the iClears, I got rid of my iClears and still have 3 EVODs and have had no problems other than the time I filled the EVOD over the tube and the juice ran out as I was filling.

I think a step up would be the nautilus. It has adjustable air flow and a glass tank.

Whatever you get be gentle.

Congratulations on quitting and keep it up.

Congrats on quitting, midnight marked 3 months for me! I love the iClear 30s on my myp2 and I also like my protank3 withe the air flow adapter on it, because I like a more airy draw. I also ordered a nautilus today from ebay for $20 and change, I couldn't bring myself to pay $40 but wanted one. I follow vaporjoes deals website, a good one if you haven't found it yet, and he had the nautilus posted today! I have saved a lot of money using his site. I only paid $4.99 for an authentic mini protank!

Congrats on getting off the smokes.

As for screwing things down on the battery; I'd recommend you be carefull to avoid screwing down too tight; you will end up with centerpin problems ...... sooner. You end up with centerpin problems eventually anyway.

I use the eGo threading instead of the 510 threads.

and you got yourself a good setup.

to ecf jcampbell474. It is a wonderful place to be. Can't tell ya how many times people have helped me here. I used the ProTanks on my mvp2 until I got into dripping and then all I have used is the Vision Eternity. Very easy to rebuild and I like the larger capacity drippers. Guess that is why I am using a reo grand now. I think what is so great about the mvp2 is that any topper will work on it. I use to use evod and never had any leaking issues. I rebuilt mine and left the flavor wick off when I put them back together. Always thought they were good. Good luck to ya and happy vaping. Look forward to reading your future posts. Congrats on the 2 weeks, that is fantastic. I still get a bit amazed everyday at how much I love vaping. :)

You mentioned leaking issues with the evod. Are they leaking shortly after you go outside? I ask because the summer heat is a notorious problem that cause leaks. Liquid gets warm, expands, and looks for a way out. I think top fed tanks are more resistant to this, but I've always preferred bottom fed. I also carried many different flavors with me at first. It will likely subside to where you'll feel confident carrying less. My favorite cheap topper for the mvp is the kanger t3s. Its plastic so watch your tank crackers and it has a more airy draw which is what I loved about it compared to the pro tank/ evod. Also next time you're shopping grab an ego-510 adapter. You don't need one right now but most likely your mvp will get the firing pin pushed to far down. When that happened to me I was unable to pry up the firing pin sufficiently and the adapter which only costs 3-5 dollars was the ticket. Welcome!

One of the biggest issues with loss of flavor, otherwise known as vaper's tongue, is dehydration. Make sure that you are drinking lots of water throughout the day while vaping. Changing up your flavors occasionally helps as well. Certain drinks, like tea and coffee, can also attribute to vaper's tongue. Sometimes brushing your teeth or eating spicy or aromatic foods can help the flavor return as well.
When tightening your topper onto your MVP, only tighten it until you begin to feel resistance. Over tightening is one of the major causes of center pin issues, airflow problems, and leaking with some clearos.

As far as suggestions for a clearo......the Aero tank is a great choice. I also like the Pro Tank 2 mini V2. It just doesn't hold a lot of liquid.

Keep asking questions and doing your research. There are a lot of great reviewers on you tube, Google is your friend.
There is a margin of trial and error before you find your sweet spot.

The hard part is over, you quit! Now is where it gets fun trying all the new things you find!
Congratulations.

Sorry, I posted last night, then went to bed (and have a 3-year old w/an ear infection that kept him (us) up most of the night). Been a pretty busy day. I'm grateful for all of the welcomes and advice. Great folks in this forum!

Hi there! I'm sorry I don't have an answer for your clearomizer question, I'm pretty new at this myself. But I did want to welcome you to ECF and congratulate you on trying again. Yay you! :)

Welcome and Stick With It!!!!

Congrats on quitting the smokes!

Congrats on trying to quit again! Best of luck to you!

Thank you! Your support is appreciated!!

Thank you. I will research vapor's tongue...never heard of it. Definitely think you hit the nail on the head!

I'm liking the EVOD's more than I did initially. Had really good luck with them today. I have also been seeing a lot of stuff around here about the nautilus...seems similar to my Aerotank. I'll take a look at it and maybe give it a shot. Thank you for the support!

3-months - Awesome! Congrats!! Thank you for the support too. I am finding that this smoking alternative can get pretty expensive, pretty fast. But I'm loving it so far and want to thank you for the Vaporjoes suggestion. I'll be spending some there!

Welcome to the forum. I got the Protank 2 and I like it. My areorotank was good but this was better. You can research a lot of different ones here.
Thanks! I will be googling the Protank 2 soon!

you might want to check out the pyrex aro v2 tank made by smok tech... I don't have the mvp, but use the iTaste vv v3 and like the tank a lot so far. only $5.99 from madvapes
Thanks! Gonna check out that tank out soon!

Congrats on getting off the smokes.

Thank you for the support and setup validation! While initially researching the MVP, I saw some stuff out there about center pin issues (keep the needle-nose pliers handy). I'll look into the 510 thread recommendation - thank you again!

Thank you for the support and advice! I might look into the Vision Eternity when I get a little more advanced :)

I know what you're referring to, but no, that was not the case. Seems I was simply screwing the tanks down too tight. The t3s looks like a comparable alternative to my evod tanks - I'll check'em out. It's looking like I need to keep a 510 adapter on-hand. Thank you for the experienced advice. As far as the flavors, feels like my taste buds desire for diversity is slowly decreasing. Strangely drawn to coffee, chocolate, and vanilla flavors now. Thank you for all of the advice!

I dont have an answer for you about what tank is good for the mvp but I think its the 510 thread so you can put a wide range of tanks on it. The aspire nautilus is good. I think its 510 but havent done the research to doublecheck. Thanks for not smoking. Vaping is the future now.
Thank you for the support!

i also like the Aspires, but the BDC, which comes in either plastic or glass. Only 3 parts, easy to refill and clean.
Sounds promising. I will research it! Thanks!!

Yeah, seems like my water intake significantly increased naturally. Good to know it helps with vapors tongue - which I think I've been intimately familiar with (pending some research). Thank you for educating me on it, the advice on tanks, and the support!
