Hello All,

I just transitioned to vaping from a 25 year smoking habit.

I'll be honest, I expected the transition to be more difficult than it has proven to be. I had quit smoking twice before, for several years each time, only to stupidly pick it up again. Each of those times I remember having a very difficult time of it. This Time, however, it was virtually seemless--no headaches, nausea, sweating, insomnia, etc. For this reason, I believe I'll finally be successful in kicking the habit for good this time.

While I just got around to introducing myself now, I have been reading the forums and watching YouTube videos obsessively since I began vaping. This forum has already been a wealth of information and I look forward to becoming a full-fledged member of the community.

Hello and welcome to ECF!

I smoked for 30 years and still can't believe I quit as easily as I did.

:vapor:

Yeah,

As I said, I expected it to be much more difficult.

I had been thinking about quitting for a while, but unlike the previous times, this proved to be really difficult.

However, over the Christmas Holiday, my wife and I rented a car for a trip to her brother's house. The rental agreement had a no smoking clause in it with rather significant "cleaning charge" associated with it. Knowing full well that I would never be able to make a 10+ hour drive without smoking, I went looking for alternatives. I picked up a disposable e-cig just to give it a try--more out of desperation than anything.

While I honestly can't say I enjoyed the disposable's taste, it worked as a substitute. I immediately went out and bought a slightly better setup that was able to deliver a better flavor experience and that made the transition complete.

I can honestly say I haven't looked back since--not once.
