Another thought or two about tanks...
The Kabuki - got mine last week. If you enjoy the nautilus, you'll be very pleased with it. Flavor is better and coils seem to last a bit longer. If you have a p3 (flat top), get the P3 kabuki. I think that's all they well now anyway. If you have a slant top, you'll need an adapter.
Kayfun - I have a KFL+ and a KF4. The KF mini v3 is the best of both worlds from what I hear. Just keep a backup tank with you until you have the rebuilding figured out, so you don't leave home with a poorly wicked kit, flood it or burn it and get stuck with nothing.

Consider picking up a cheap dripper. It's good for learning how to build. There's a thousand different models to choose from. Just get one that's on sale that looks pretty basic and has pretty open deck. There is a lot of variation on air flow, deck and post configuration and so on. Do not spend big money until you have a better idea of what you might like. But, if you shopping at site that had some on clearance sake, throw one in the cart.
