Hello to all!
Obviously I am new here (first post and first thread), but I am not completely new to vaping. I started vaping with a small 510 auto-battery. It tasted like ...., didn't last long, and refills were a pain in the .... Then I realized that I could refill them with any juice and the taste was much improved. The smell of the juise was still gross and it was messy to refill those teeny 0.8ml containers. Then I finally found a good deal for an ego kit (I had been looking around but was not willing to drop $50-$100 on something I was not sure I would like).
Since then I've tried the EGO CE4, CE4S, CE5, Mini Protank, and the Protank 2... none have been close perfect and I miss the auto battery.
Anywho, that is not the point of my post. The entire point of even signing up for this site was to ask about something new I just got. My wife is not into the liquids and instead prefers dry tobacco. So I picked up an M2 Rainbow Design Wax Clearomizer and an Ego-M6 Wax Oil Clearomizer for her to try out. The M2 looks simple enough: add dry tobacco to the cup with the screen at the bottom, prime for a few seconds, enjoy. The M6 however does not look as up-to-the-job:
(Edit: Just found out I cannot post links yet, so you'll have to imagine this is an image of a clear globe with a small white cup in the middle, at the center of which, is a bundle of fiber bound by a metal coil.)
Clearly I can see that it is fiber wrapped in a coil, and that this can only mean it was meant for something more viscous than desiccated plants, but I swear it said "wax/oil/dry" when I made the purchase (of course it does not say that now that I check again).
My question is, can I modify this in a way that would make it work with something dry? It didn't cost me all that much so I don't mind chucking it if it is exclusively for wax/oils, but the delivery took over a month so I am hoping to get something out of it.
Edit: Well after all that it seems that the question was moot; even the one of the two that was supposedly designed for something dry failed miserably. I guess we'll have to invest in something rather more specialized.
On a brighter note: while digging around for a pair of pink 750 batteries I knew I had paying around I found my old Protank 2 I had stopped using because of a burnt taste. Left inside was the sweetest Fruit eliquid I've ever had, and the burnt taste has disappeared. I don't have any replacement flavor besides Canadian Tobacco for another month at least, so this was a nice break for a few puffs.
So thanks anyways to the possible advice I was to receive.
