Hi All

New member here. Was a pack a day smoker of lights for 20 years and in 2 days will be off analog completely for 1 month. Still get the craving every now and then but managed to fight back.

Started with EGO C-Twist with Iclear 16 and 12mg nic, played around with it for couple weeks. Did tons of research on this wonderful forum, and moved to Provari 2.5. Been trying Vivi Novas on both knock off ones and genuine Vision ones. They both work quite well but both has some flaws in my experience but I can usually get around them with minor tweaking from the advices on this forum. Also tried Iclear 30 (dual coail) and liked it as well.

Now moving on to Cartomizer. Picked up a pack of 5 branded "vape revolution" at my local shop with some tanks. These are punched with 1 hole. Primed it following the instruction from the worker there (repeated dripping to saturate the sponge/filler, blow it until the juice flows out the bottom puched hole). Filled the fluid in the tank and tried it on SR 3ohm started at 3.8ohm. Kept on bumping it up trying to get satisfactory throat hit and started to taste juice burned out at around 5.6ohm. This will not work for me, so switched out to a LR 2.0ohm and again started at 3.8oh. I was able to get good balance of thorat hit & flavor at 4.8ohm, but it's just not the same as Vivi or Iclear. The flavors are definitely there and I would arguably say marginally better than the Vivi, but I don't get the same dense "fullfillment" and hits coming into the throat and lung. I really want to like the cartos because the draw is very consistent (airy in a way) and I don't need to bother with getting wicks wet when fluid runs low in Vivis. Would changing the carto to different brand make difference for me? If they all act similar way then I might as well go back to my clearomizer setup which I do like very much, except minor annoyance of getting wicks wet and sometimes "hiccups" on the draw. Those I can live with. Thanks for any advice.

Thanks Ocelot. I found Smoktech single coil at my local vape shop and tried out some 1.50ohms. It seem to work better than my old brand but still can't get the same satifying vape I was looking for. I guess my last try would be some dual coil cartos. I researched on this forum and understand most people prefer single vs dual, but I think I'm running out of options and would be my last try. If it doesn't work out then I will just stick to my Vivi and Iclear30.
