Hi, my name is Jamie and I am a new member to this site, and to vaping as well. I am 31 and have now been smoking for almost 16 years. I also have a 3 year old daughter so enough is enough, time to give vaping a whirl. I recently got a vaporizer for medicinal use, so I figured now is as good a time as any to try and cut all smoking out of my life. I knew nothing at all about vaping, all I know is that I tried the Blu "ciggalikes" and they did nothing for me. So I started researching on the interwebs using Google, and ended up here. What a great resource of information. After doing a bit of reading, I decided to go with the Innoken itaste MVP 2(comes with an iclear16 clearo) and also got a Kanger Protank 2, so I can try glass and poly tanks. Got 2 packs of coils, and some juice from Nicoticket(really looking forward to H1N1). I just want to say thank you to everyone who contributes to this forum, without you all I wouldn't have known what to buy and probably would have burned a lot of money trying to get a good setup to start. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I enjoy this, and can give up cigarettes for good.

Welcome aboard! This is indeed the place to be. I came here too as a brand newbie. I didn't have clue one, and the B&M I went to had no idea even of the basics. I learned what I know here, from these wonderful gracious people. Congratulations for taking this big step. It sure will help your daughter. Remember to read through these pages, watch YouTube videos on e cigs and ask questions. Get 5 posts under your belt and you can ask on any of the forums. We're here to help and support each other. It's a community. Glad to meet you!

Welcome!

Most people here have nothing but hiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh praise from the MVP2 and the Pro Tanks AND Nicoticket so I think you chose VERY well.

Glad you're giving it a try. Your results will vary but you are gonna find a ton of people here (myself included) who took their first real (non gas station e-cig) vape and never touched another cigarette and never wanted to.

Good luck to you!

Welcome to a new and healthier way to use nicotine. I used 21-25 cigarettes a day for over 30 years. When I discovered a healthier alternative, I switched and never looked back.

I have not smoked cigarettes for over 4 years now.

Welcome and congrats on finding the ecf. Best place on the planet to explore all things vape. Everything you need to know or do to get ones Vape ON, is located in these pages.

Looks like you have an excellent start with the selection of the MVP and changeable atomizers. The Aspire Nautilus would be another to checkout. One of the best in it's class.

The MVP is great because it's adjustable and can dial in ones preferred vape. And if you become inclined to try re-buildable atomizers, rba's, it will handle that quite well too.

Only advice I have is to allow sufficient time for your coil and wick heads to become saturated with juice before taking that first vape, and to not over tighten them onto the battery.

Other than that, everything you could vape desire can be found at the ecf.

I smoked for 27 years and found vape to be an easy transition, and very exciting and satisfying. Been a year since my last smoke, almost, and couldn't be more pleased.

Vape long and prosper!!!

After knowing several and reading about so many looong time smokers switching to vape with ease, I figured it was a natural choice. I am really having a hard time not spending like $300 on juice right now, and waiting to see how I like it. So many good flavors from The Vapor Chef, Five Pawns, and Ahlusion. I got 3 30ml bottles to start with, so we will see how those work out first lol. I am just really anxious for all the gear to arrive.

before you spend that much on juice, check out the DIY juice sub forum. 3 bills will get me like 3 years of juice supplies. lol Also make sure you've found your preferred VG/PG ratios. I prefer high VG juice, at least 70% VG. Good place to start is a 50/50 blend, then try some higher and lower ratios to find what vapes best for you. Also the nic mg level that keeps you satisfied needs to be found. On your gear would suspect it to be 18-24 mg nic per ml. I'm down at 12 mg, use to need 24, but with my current gear and build improvements, had to drop it down by half. Better the gear the better the nic delivery and vape.

Welcome, Nugget, and I wish you the best experience vaping when you get your new gear. You have chosen well and I think you will be pleased. I have the MVP myself and find it's a great little device, very user friendly, and the battery lasts a really long time without a charge.

I was a 2 pack a day smoker for over 45 years, and haven't lit up a cigarette since I got my beginner ego kit about 4 months ago. You can do this!:)
