Hello gentlemen. Been getting into the "e-cigarettes" as of late and keep wanting to learn, know, and experience more. I started with a cheap-o $20 offnamebrand stick from a tobacco store because I got tired of the Blu fake cigs. It was a step up, but I wanted more. So just a couple days ago I went into a local specialty store (local chain that deals in just vape stuff) and learned a lot from the owner. He took the time to sit down with me and get me the basics. I eventually settled on a Genitank Mini while still using my old battery (eGo-T). Loving it! Now I want to learn more, know more, and get more accessories and all my google searches keep bringing me to this site so I figured why not join? Hope y'all can put up with me!

Welcome aboard
No sweat, we'll have you huffin on a Provari, DNA box, or somethin' in no time. LOL

I started reading about the Provari and thought this is a toy I'd like to have! Then I scrolled down and read the price  While I think I'm in the market for a VV battery, that one looks a little out of the price range I was thinking haha

Yeah, I feel your pain. On a more realistic view the MVP or Vamo might be a better first VV/VW mod. Both are less than $100. Wife has a Provari and really likes it, me I bought 3 Vamos for less damage.

Keep in mind that there are many great e-cigs that you'll encounter and each is more a personal preference. I own a Provari and love it... And though it has a hefty pricetag, it is about the price of 4 cartons of smokes... :) However, the Provari is not the end all - be all of the vaping kingdom! I have an eVic, and like is nearly as well. Sometimes I just use my eGo twists and I'm good to go!

Again, Welcome to the ECF!

Ebates.com gets a percentage of what you buy, so take it with a grain of salt if he's pushing you towards expensive mods . ;) Let your system settle and you'll have a better sense as to what is bothering you about your vape and then we can set about fixing it. Congrats and good to see you around.

I'm going to give it a couple days (I hope) and see if this new setup settles. I just went out and picked up a Kangertech ipow VV battery and dialed it down to about 3.4v and switched to a non-nicotine juice. Seems better but I want some nicotine in my vape. I'm starting to think it's the juice I'm using. I've been buying a local small shops own brand and it always does well for the first half a day or full day, then it starts getting the burnt taste to it. I've got a new tank (the Genitank Mini) and now a new battery (ipow) and it still did it. Any thoughts on this or recommendations for a better/different juice? The guy keeps telling me it's because the more nicotine in a juice, the thicker it is therefore the more you have to "baby" it (that's me paraphrasing since I'm at work) but that doesn't quite seem right.

Ehhhh the nicotine thing seems weird, it's heat sensitive and all but generally different ingredients are harder on a coil, and will gunk up on it faster. Your vapor will start getting smaller, flavor will mute and then start to go bad. You can generally avoid it longer with clearer eliquid and ones that are less sweet (a coil will last forever with something like x-streme ice, and might get 2 days if it's chocolate pie or something).

Good points. So far my favorite juices are fruity like triple berry, mango, I'm smoking grape expetations right now and it's delicious. I'd like to pick up some others, as well; I like having a good amount to choose from on my shelf and right now most have some kind of nicotine except the grape I'm on right now.

Ah, do good experimenting! For right now, keep trying stuff in smaller quantities to see what you like until you hit something that bothers you, and then we'll help sort it. For right now, if you want your coils to last as long as possible without replacing them (google if they're rebuildable so you don't throw them out, evenif you aren't interested in that right now) you'll want clear less-sweet eliquids. I tested a tiger blood the other day that killed a coil in 1.5ml, but I had one tank using an extreme menthol go through 80ml and is still usable.

Hi guys,
GREAT forum! infinite source of information, helped me alot!
i started vaping in 2010 and got back to cigarettes because i broke my batty and was to lazy to buy a new one... took me four years(!) but i'm back on the track for two months now and vaping the sigelei 100w with a Lemo on in, couldn't be happier! during those two months i was using the 3D, magma, veritas, plume veil, dark horse, orchid v4 and finally stopped at the lemo(for now:p )

for those who vape the lemo, i really suggest to try a parallel 28g coil build, i'm vapin it at 5v in 0.7Ω(34.8-35w) and this is definitely a sweet spot for me, chuck the clouds and taste is top notch!
