Hi all, just bought my new cape system on Friday, it's a 1100mah battery, Protank 2 mini and 24mg tobacco liquid.
I initially want to get off the analogues for health and financial reasons.

Done a bit research and stumbled across this forum.

I have been looking at the Vamo V5 for home use as it looks amazing value, but I'm up for any added info on better products out there.

I'm an electrician so am based on site so something small is ideal for there but like the idea of a VV machine for home use.

Anyway enough of my rambling, hello everyone.

Hello there, the Vamo is a good device but in 18650 battery mode it's a bit on the larger side. The Innokin SVD is perfect for me and it's telescoping so you can twist the bottom tube to match any size battery supported. If you like the Box style VV/VW devices i would suggest an Innokin MVP 2.0 or a VTR. Both are great devices

The Vamo V5 are a pretty good bang for the buck. I should warn you though that the V5 in 650 mode is very large so I find it difficult to carry it around in my pocket compared to a simple Ego Twist, etc. If you're set on a VV/VW mod, take a look at the offerings by Innokin. Most popular are the MVP2 and the VTR, but those two are box styles. Personally I'd avoid getting small upgrades and instead go straight to the more higher end mods. Will save you a lot of money especially if you have upgraditis.

The Vamo is a good mod imho. I have an older version that is 1.5 years old and still working so if you don't beat it up too much it should last a while. For my next mod I recently got a Provari mini and it is quite small in the 18350 mode, and you could use these same batteries in your Vamo too. Of course, it is a bit expensive so if that is a factor then hopefully someone else will have something to recommend. You could do a search on "best mods" or "small mods" and probably find quite a few posts to read about them. Good luck.

The iTaste MVP - if you can handle the form factor - is the better bang for the buck. It's got a hella big battery (2600 mah), all the same features, and is smaller in the hand or pocket than a vamo with a bigger battery.

The iTaste SVD is preferable to the vamo (IMHO) but gets really long with a bigger battery. If size isn't a factor in your home setup, I'd say the SVD gets the nod (ever so slightly) over the MVP.

Thanks for all the advice, it's all appreciated.
I'm not too bothered about size at the moment as was looking at home usage but looking at the MVP, I could use that for both work and home. It'll just be getting used to the form factor I think, after just giving up the analogues it'll be difficult getting away from the long cylindrical shape!
Anyway thanks again for giving me more to think about.

I'm here, when I'm here
I have a MVP my self and carry it in a small cell phone case. Works great and not too expensive.

This is with my mini pro. No buttons get mashed in the case and at $10 at WM, it beats the carrying case that's made for it, when you can find it. Not too many folks where I live have it. Would have to order it on line and it's bulky. Sorry about the side ways pic.

Happy Vaping!! :vapor:

Hi Jason! Welcome to ECF and congrats on the decision to ditch the stinkies. Whatever you decide to move up to, always remember to have a backup rig available. You wouldn't want to have a coil or batt. go out on you early in the morning at work and not have anything to vape on for the rest of the day.

Welcome to ECF...I'm pretty new to the forums also...I have an Evic(Variable), SID(Variable), and a Magneto(Mechanical Mod with evolv kick 2)...I have not heard any bad things about the Vamo and the price is good from what I have seen...I was debating on getting one myself. I may still get one in the future. I watch lots of reviews on youtube so I feel pretty current on almost all things going on in the vape world seeing as I'm on disability and have nothing better to do with my time. lol A couple tips I can give you..for variable like the vamo use panasonic 3400mah battery and if and when you decide to get into the mechanical mod Sony 2100 mah 30amp rated battery and seattle just won the super bowl lol and if you like clearomisers go with either the kanger t3s's or mt3s's they are around 6.99 or under should be able to get them around 5 or 6 bucks...I personally think they vape great and are on the cheap side but do not feel cheap at all they use bottom coil heads...like protank 1 and 2 not sure but your mini may also? Don't hold me to that one I don't have a mini protank...

Good Luck!! If ya need any help just ask Take Care...

I would much rather play rugby and be hit from someone without padding and a helmet on then with lol seeing as they all seem to be brain damaged compared to rugby so i definitely wouldn't call it girly more like just a way corporations can make more money off the sport by selling tons of equipment ie padding and helmets etc...

Upgradeitis is a great way to put it... I have been vaping for about 2 months and went from an ego, to a Itaste VV to a VAMO and I always want others that I see. Would love to figure out how to do rebuilds and use mechanical mods, but way too scared to jump into that!!
