Hi i started smoking about 3 months ago, and after about a week of regular cigs i switched to E cigs because i didn't want to breathe tar and Carbon Monoxide. I have tried 3 kits so far, Mistics, which i am satisfied with but are out of business. Fin, which may taste good but make my throat feel really flemmy (yuk). And finally the BLU kit, which i wish i would have kept, but took back because i nerfed a battery on the charger and the cartidges seemed like a rip for the money.

Mainly i am trying to figure out which cheaper kits are good (wish they still made mistics) and which fluids to buy, as i am fairly good at refilling cartos. I noticed veggie juice from used BLU dispoables worked great in Mistic cartidges (had a disposable that never lit, so i put fluid in use mistic) and am wondering where i could buy a similar quality fluid since no-one around me still sells regular mistic cartridges and regular proplyne glycal refill fluid seems WAY too harsh (makes me dizzy)

Welcome to the wonderful world of inhaling something other than smoke! :D

It's curious that you want to continue smoking/vaping after only 3 months. Most of us on here, though by all means not all, have been smoking for a number of years and have tried to quit several times before trying out vaping.

You're about to learn of a whole new range of devices and terms. Most people on these forums at the very least use an eGo-style battery. These are larger than the Mistics, Blu, ect. They hold a charge longer and are cheaper to maintain in the long run. You'll eventually be inundated with suggestion to try these instead of the cig-alikes, and honestly you're not going to know which you prefer unless you try them out. These are also generally manual batteries, which means you have to push a button in order to activate the atomizer.

If you'd prefer to stick to cig-alikes, there are a number of those as well. You can still get your Mistics online at misticecigs.com. More popular options on here in the cig-sized units are the Volt by Smokeless Image, Smoov, Halo G6, CigEasy and V4L just to name a few. These devices are similar to the Mistic brand, though several offer a number of different options other than cartos. I should mention that the Mistic is a proprietary 901 device. Several people who have switched from Mistics to these other brands have reported being dissatisfied because these other brands have an "airier" draw than what they're accustomed to.

If you'd rather have something similar to the Blu in size but perhaps more affordable, you can look at the Sidesho from Modern Vapor or perhaps the J108 kit available at Preferred Smoke. i have both coming in the mail, so I can't report on how well they perform yet.

By far the best auto battery I know of is the Echo. It's a fatter battery like the eGo-type models, but it's completely automatic. I love it, but it's not useful when I need both hands free.

As far as juice is concerned, there are a number of vendors to choose from. Mt. Baker Vapor, ECBlend, Heather's Heavenly Vapes, VapeDudes, Alice in Vapeland and Halo are among the more popular ones. I know that at least Mt. Baker and ECBlend will allow you to get 100% VG and several others will as well.

Good luck!

I just reread what you said here, you havent been on nicotine that long, dont get started and have that monkey on your back for the rest of your life! walk away now!! It makes you dizzy because you dont need it, and that is the nicotine doing it to you.

Thanks for the advice on quiting, the one good thing with E cigs is i have experienced the highs and lows rather fast as its easy to both do too much, as well as not do any at all. So far as quitting i have found i can reduce the amount i use easier if i still smoke a little, but at the current time i have found it too valuable with stress in my life to just up and quit. Yes i have read studies that clearly say smoking creates more actual stress, but its one of those hard environments where quiting smoking is the least of my concern. I don't know how many 20 somethings there are here but the one thing i have noticed with my friends is that i have many who can stop smoking for a month or more and don't use that much when they do go back, this isn't the same as quitting, but i suppose its better then a 2 pack a day habbit that i observe many 30-50 years olds have.

Thanks for the words of support, I'm still interested in finding the best fluids as i have found having nasty E-cigs just makes me want to buy better ones eventually. Whereas a good experience is a bit of a treat but one i can savor and not worry about so much.

Everyone is different. Some people smoke socially, but age doesn't determine addiction. I was smoking 2 PAD by the time I graduated high school. I developed a smoker's cough before I could legally drink. Just because you have friends who smoke, but not much, doesn't mean that's the path your smoking/vaping will take.

As for liquids, there are a lot out there and tastes are subjective. That gets said over and over on this forum! You can start by checking out the E-liquid reviews subforum and reading through the fan threads in the E-liquid forum. You can order small, sample-sized bottles from a few different vendors and narrow down the types of flavors you like from there.

I have tried all those types of ecigs v2, blu, and you can't compare to a mod with variable voltage and a tank. They are big but are awesome. As my going out ecig I use a ego twist with a ce4 clearimizer much smaller than my mod but it is variable voltage. And of coarse I use alice in vapeland ejuice. Cupcake city which is incredible. Good luck. It took me a while to find what's right but this forum and YouTube helped me. Search pbasardo and grimmgreenon YouTube for reviews.
