New member with a tip for the DSE901

I've had my DSE901 for 2 weeks now. The first few days I was pretty impressed with the vapour and taste. Then I found I had to multie draw on it so much so that the battery shuts off to get anything close to decent vapour. So I got a bit unhappy about it. Did a few searches for tips, found this forum. I did wonder if the e cig model i bought was no good but there are plenty of positives comments on it. So perhaps my atomizer is failing, but they should have a life of 1 month according to what i read.

So what I tried today was taking the wading/sponge out of a used cartridge and stuffing it into another semi used cartridge, effectively having 2 wading/sponges in 1 cartride.

So the results. My first draw was too strong and i got a mouthful of liquid (well not a mouthful but some). My 2nd draw was more gentle, just the slightest draw and the exhale was great, good vapour.
The other plus side to this is that the battery will last a lot longer.

What do you think?

Hmmm... wierd, I have found the opposite to work for me. Mine work better with LESS filler in the cart. Perhapse you let the coil in the atty get too dry and when you filled the re-stuffed cart you re-wetted the atty.?. Don't know but I fill my carts pretty loosely with polyfill when I re-do them and I find that more of the juice wicks out that way and I get better performance. If you have auto batteries they can be pretty squirrelly too. Maybe a series of coincidences.

I agree with Misty, I can't see MORE filling IMPROVING anything..

If you're getting frustrated with the cut off times and lack of vapor, get a MANUAL ecig. I ALWAYS suggest manuals for new AND old vapors, MUCH easier and, IMHO, MUCH better..

The 901 is a juice stingy atty ,unlike the 510 that requires a lot of juice. I too found that less juice flow for the 901 produces a nice th and doesnt result in a semi flooded atty all the time.

So you think that the atty got dry and that made less vapour? So to wet the atty do I just take the sponge thing out of the cart and put the wet end on the atty.
I may just have a dud bunch of cartrides. The first 5 I used came with the cig, and the 50 others were in a seperate box.

Just a quick update. I took the cartridge which had 2 sponges in off and but a new cartridge on.
It's working as well as ever.

Hello & welcome Wimtom.

It sounds like you haven't got yourself any e-liquid yet? Just in case you don't realise, you can refill your cartridges with e-liquid, so hang onto them.

As the other poster mentioned, you should try manual batteries, they have a button that gives you full control instead of activating the atty based on your puffing.

Also, when you get more batteries, I recommend getting KR808D batteries, they are fully compatible with the 901 and they are much better and more dependable, IMO.

I ordered from Paradise Vape UK. It was very quick. I ordered at about 11pm, by 12 pm I had emails saying they were packed and ready to be distributed. 38 hours later they were delivered to me.
I only ordered 10 ml of L7B just to see how I got on with it. When I opened the pack I saw 3 bottles which I thought strange having only ordered 1. There was a note in there saying they had sent me 2 extra sample flavours.
