I'm a new member and quite excited to join the e-cig forum and chatroom. My e-cig kit is coming tomorrow morning so that makes tomorrow my quit date! AUG. 29/13. I have a buddy who is quitting at the same time which makes it great because there won't be any second-hand smoke! My lungs are definitely showing 35 years of smoking so it's time to clean house before I get COPD like my mom and late uncle.

I hope using the e-cigs tomorrow (Aug. 29/13) will be satisfying since I chose to use non-nicotine juice. We'll see. If I need a bit of nicotine I can always order some nic juice.

Welcome to the ECF, and good luck. You will feel so much better soon, and having a friend quit with you is a definite plus. Plenty of info here and friendly people to answer questions.

I'd really like to thank the gentlemen in the chatroom who spent their own time teaching me about e-cigarettes, what to buy, etc. I would have been lost without them. I hope someday I will be able to help someone new as well.

Welcome Pamela, glad that you set a quit day to get rid of the analogs. Like you I was a smoker for over 35 years and feel awesome after I quit 3 months ago. I would also order some juice with some amount of nicotine just in case. Starting with 0 nicotine is a little ambitious but it can be done. In my case I started with 18 mg of nicotine and down to 8 mg at this time. Congrats on your decision!!

Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life. I'm a new vapor as well been doing it about a month now. I use nic in mine though so the switch was pretty easy picked up my kit and have not looked back. I was a pack and a half a day when I quit. So congrats on your decision and good luck and if you have questions don't be afraid to ask.

yech!!!!!! my e-cig starter kit didn't arrive as promised by the company I ordered from. I got on the horn and told them to find the kit!!!! I told everybody Thursday is my quit date and it's almost Friday! Well, so far, while I wait for the kit, I've had 4 cigarettes in 5 hours, not too shabby, I think. I really feel like choking the company clerk.
