Hi everyone! I registered recently, have been lurking for a while. All the info here was very helpful in getting set up. Still smoking the stinkies once in a while, can't wait till it's 0. I registered due to the very deep DIY juice info and can't wait to start that. I look forward to learning more and contributing where and when possible?

THANKS to everyone for the great info here!!

Hey Keyser

I started DIY within2 months of starting vaping and went from 18mg nic down to 2mg nic because I was able to step it down at my own pace

Read all of the stickies in the DIY section to get started
Remember taste is subjective when looking at the recipes so always start small ie:5ml of bad eliquid is easier to throw a way then 30ml
Leave head space in mixing bottles for shaking to mix components easier ie: if you have 10 ml bottles mix a 7ml batch
PG and VG from your nic supplier is always overpriced (I use amazon and get 1 quart of each with free prime shipping)
Keep track of all of your experimental recipes for 2 reasons
1. you want to be able to replicate good flavors
2. you don't want to repeat bad flavors - write fail or bad in big red marker on the bad flavors (remember to let steep for a month before disposing of bad flavors)

be safe - keep all nic base, flavor concentrates, etc stored properly and away from children (preferably locked up - even if you are a reclusive, shut in like myself you never know when someone will stop buy with untrained nosy children (most of them)

Oh, and welcome to the ECF

Hello, Welcome, and Congrats on wanting to quit Keyser! One of the most important things in DIY'ing is to keep notes. Write everything down. How much, what it taste like (strong, sweet, sour, etc...), how long you let it sit, how it tasted after sitting, etc.... It may seem like alot of work but it is so worth it. I love DIY'ing cuz' I know what I'm getting without any mystery. Keep us posted and ask any question that pops up along the way! Happy Vaping :vapor:

PS. a good calculator is a good idea. I use the E-Juice Me Up calculator.
