I'm new to the ECF forum after it kept popping up every time I googled a question about vaping!

I smoked analogs for nearly 30 years before I quit cold turkey on April 12, 2013 thanks to my e-cig! I was afraid analogs were going to kill me, I had tried literally everything to quit, with no success.

I started out with a cheapo ttZig from the local smoke shop, along with 24mg tobacco juice. (I thought I would need it to taste and look like an analog to help me quit.) a week later, I bought a Volcano Inferno starter kit with some Choconilla Haze juice and I have never looked back!

I'm still using my Inferno batteries (which Volcano recently replaced free because they stopped charging.) I tried to upgrade to the new Inferno bottom-coil tank, but the coil tasted burnt in less than a week and our local shop never has them in stock. I got really tired of cartomizer issues, so I really wanted a clearo tank with a bottom coil, so I bought a 510-to-eGo adapter and an eVod tank at the new vape shop nearby. It works awesome and I am much happier!

All in all, I don't regret starting out with Volcano, because their customer service is awesome. They've replaced faulty parts (batteries, chargers, etc.) at no cost, no questions asked. I just think I'm ready to move on to other things now that I've been vaping for 10 months!

I'm glad to find such a helpful community of fellow vapors!

10 months! Good; volcano must be doing something right.

Might want to move up from the plastic EVOD tank to a miniprotank2 or smoktech aro;
they all use the same replacement atomizer heads.

2 nd that emotion!

I started with evods and still like them a lot. I also have a few ProTank2 minis and like them even more than the evods.

The Smoke AroII is pyrex for your tank cracking flavors. Those are as cheap as evods and draw similar. I have a few of those too and am happy with them.

I have a bunch of tanks around because I keep different flavors ready to go.

Having a bunch of clearomizers that use the same atomizer coils cuts down on keeping a bunch of different parts in stock. When I find a good deal on Kanger evod coils I just buy a bunch and have plenty of stock. You cant go wrong with backups for backups when you live in a vaping dessert as I do. (NO brick and mortar stores that are not a 60 mile drive).

Having a bunch of different flavors on hand keeps the "vapers tounge" in check also. Can't taste the mr dew anymore, switch up to spearmint, or tutti fruitti, or any number of the dozen different flavors I have accumulated.

Good on ya for the quit! nearing two months for me and I feel so much better!

Welcome to ECF cat68! Congrats on dropping the analogs. It is a proven miracle that vaping is an alternative that actually works! There are so many stories here that parallel yours! I also love my EVOD tanks! I have one for every flavor. When I buy a new flavor, have to buy a new tank! Just my ritual. We all have our quirks. The way i see it, as long as I don't smoke, it's all good! Glad to Have you as part of the family and there are so many willing to help and answer just about any question you can come up with!

Thanks for the tip edyle! I'll check those out!

Also, for those looking for a good deal on the eVod-style replacement atomizer, MVS has a great price - $1.75 each.

For new vapers, I'd be a little wary of single heads; the kanger replacement heads usually come in a five pack box, on a card like the way pharmacy capsules are packaged.

For clone heads, an experienced user would just know how to adjust them, once the metal dimensions are ok.
