Hi all,

I quit smoking cold-turkey in 2000 and then decided that starting again in fall of 2013 would be a good idea (alcohol was involved in that decision). I got tired of that disgusting morning cough and having no breath after walking up a single flight of stairs so I thought I'd give vaping a try. I saw that BBC documentary and was intrigued.

On June 5 I bought the ecom-C Twist to help me quit smoking and haven't had tobacco since. I find that this little set up takes care of my nicotine need completely. I am using 12mg juice for now and will try to wean down over time.

My daughter bought a great eleaf iStick with an Aspire tank which is probably what I'll go to in a couple weeks or so because I prefer the m2l inhale over the direct but the mod is flexible enough to allow for direct if I want to down the road (I think...I'd love some input on that).

This whole world is new to me but I think I'm gonna like it!

See you on the boards!

Hi and welcome! I also did the stop several years and "well, it's been so long, one won't hurt" routine, so I know how it feels. It's great that you've been able to stop again. Honestly if it's a vape pen/expensive box mod and tank or whatever, that's good. Having said that, you'll probably find the iStick and Aspire tank more pleasing than inexpensive carto that usually comes on those starter pens. Good luck!

Hi and welcome!
It sounds like you have already brushed up on the advantages of vaping.
If you haven't yet, I suggest signing up with CASAA - The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association
Vaping as we know it is under fire, and support is needed. It would be a shame if the technology were not available for all of us but especially for those like you trying to shake the habit.
