I believe so. The restrictive nature of laws in general in Thailand were due to the junta which afaik is still in place, so likelihood is extremely high. I have no actual data though.
I thought I read that Thailand might ease up a little. Basically, they were deemed illegal as to not be in competition with the state run tobacco industry.
Hmmm…. That’s possible. Ever since I started vaping it’s been “just don’t go to Thailand” I’m not sure anything less than a major change would alter that though. The last time I payed attention to Thailand was during the Trump administration. Iirc I can’t emigrate there either. I’m too old and not rich enough. the only place that would take me was this island off the Chinese coast under the control of Portugal and only because it is a rather famously abusive casino island. They don’t have gambling laws there so that 10% limit Las Vegas has is not enforced. It’s full rip-and-tear. I’m not sure if that was far enough anyway. Trump was voted out though so my search was curtailed.
My brother and went there a few years ago. The biggest expense was the flight there and back. Within Thialand, we were able to get around cheap. Flights from Chiang Mia to the islands, or anywhere out of Bangkok, were around $50-$70. Food and lodging were way less than half what you'd pay here. A lot of expats there.
Though, yeah, as soon as I stepped off the plane, I went back to a pack a day habit for about ten days. But, a pack of smokes were only around $2.
