Hello everyone, my name is Tom. I would like to start off by telling everyone involved in this wonderful community thank-you. I can go on-and-on about how these incredible little gadgets have saved my life, or how reading the input of other members has been essential to me no-longer being a slave to cigarettes (now known to all of us as "analogs"). I don't want to bore you with my story, as I am sure that you have read many just as I did. Instead I have an idea for us who are new and do not have a substantial stash of liquids.

I recently stumbled into a very interesting thread known as http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/85629-pay-forward.html

I wanted to participate, went to the last page, and like a gorgeous butterfly that just got stepped on, had all of my hopes and dreams crushed. I looked down at my four bottles of liquids and remembered how it felt in high school when the cool kids wouldn't let me sit with them. Then it came to me. I need to do what I did then, sit at an empty table where anyone would be welcome. The table slowly began to be filled with some of the most caring and generous people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

The idea is simple. We will have all of the same rules as the link above, except the ones regarding quantity. There will be a 10ml limit. This doesn't necessarily mean you need 10ml of liquid to participate. You can give or receive a 10ml bottle, two 5ml bottles, or three 3ml bottles. The bottles should be at least three quarters full. A little more or less should be okay as long as you state it in your post and do not take advantage of this system and send a half-empty bottle.

I will go first, but before I do I need to know there are people who would actually want to contribute. If you are interested leave a comment, if and when I think there are enough members involved the fun will begin.

So, does anyone want to sit at my table?

I may be wrong....but want to comment before anything bad happens. I believe all you have to do is PM one of the PIF mods to join. Second, have you ran this by the ECF Moderators ? I believe that is something you may need to do.

Again, I may be wrong onn both fronts, if so...I apologize. Good luck and I applaud you !!

Pif does not require people to put large quantities into a pif. New members are welcome to participate. A willingness to participate, not the amount, is what counts.

Read the intros to the pif, wants, and treasures threads. Stop by the chat thread or the online chat to say hello. It is a good group of people.

Just join the already-established pif community, it is already there for both new and veteran members.

That is what pif already does. It is not about who can give more, but sharing.

Sometimes you see a big pif or treasures, that is just veteran members sharing some of their stash built up over time. A couple of ml from a new person is just as good a pif, means just as much to pif members, as the larger ones.

All these views and no replys that are interested. I guess it was a bad idea. Thanks for the support. For a forum about something new and different that most people instantly reject you people sure are open to something new and just giving something a chance. You expect everyone to be open minded about this product... maybe you should have an open mind about something you don't like at first glance. You know like the way you want misinformed people to give the e-cig a chance. You get what you give, treat others the way you want to be treated, kharma and all that jazz.

The intent of the actual PIF THREAD in the PIF group is not to see who can offer the most, it's to accept an offer and then offer back what you CAN. Once you participate a few times, you'll have lots of things to try and then offer back into the thread. I'd also like to add that that one thread is just one part of the PIF group as a whole. Come over and look around. Join...participate...make some friends at our table. We're very nice. :)

I don't understand. From what I have read in this thread, they are not saying they are not interested. They are saying that your admirable goals are already in place. I didn't hear any rejection in the other members comments? I have not yet read the PIF section, so I will go now and see what it's about.

You are absolutely right. I'm sorry, after re-reading the thread I realize I did over react. I have checked out the PIF thread. I offered something in the treasure chest thread. I know I can but I still do not feel right taking so much from someone and giving back so little. So I thought this idea would solve that problem.

I gotta admit I do like this table. I think this would be a nice addition

@tdubz- I understand how you feel, because at times I feel the same as you. It can make you feel inadequate when you compare your 10ml to someone elses 30ml PIF.

What you need to understand, is that your 10ml PIF can make a world of difference to someone who doesn't have. Or to someone who just wants to try 10ml and nothing more. You have nothing to be ashamed of when you PIF.

Perhaps it might help if you PIF through PM's. That's the way I do all my PIF's but not because I think I may not have enough. It's because I don't want anyone to know that I PIF. For me, it's about helping where and when I can then moving on.

Hope this helps you.

That 10ml might be just what one is looking for to sample.
I started there with probably less that 10ml to give. And I took a larger offer to get started. Then I was able to test and give back the ones I did not like. And again take an offer to try the different juices. Keep or to pif to others to try out. It is fun and I got to try so many different flavors and vendors.
I still have not kept many of them. because I tend to pif them right back into the pile. But all the juice I have got to try is unbelievable.
