Hey, my name is Alex. Im a new member to the forum. I've been vaping for about 2 years now and have been looking for a site to chat about vaping. Looks like i found one!

My current setup is a Turtle Ship mod with a caterpillar RDA.

I've never bought flavors online, only in store which is kinda limited because of my particular taste in flavors. I wanted to know what online brands of liquid are good (both in quality and options).

I'm also trying to upgrade to a box mod. Ive been looking at a lot as of late but im having trouble deciding on either the IPV3 100W box mod when it comes out or the sigelei 100W box mod. What are your thoughts on the two or any other box mod like it? (Im looking for a box mod that isnt too expensive and goes to at least 100W).

If anyone has any questions for me, feel free to ask!

Thanks,
Alex

Just bought and pre ordered the ipv3 150 watt. What sold me was a few things. First, yihi WILL be doing more upgrades for the ipv3 in the future according to yihi themselvs. You can sub ohm all the way to .1. And I owned the ipv2 50 and absolutely loved it! I had ZERO issues. It has a great price tag at 133 and free shipping from watts up. I can't wait for it to arrive in mid September. According to my records my ship date is Sept 25. I would absolutely get the ipv3 because it's not going to just stop at 150 watts. It WILL be upgraded in the future! The ipv2 was a great unit and I'm expecting the same with the v3. I disagree with above posts statements. The ipv3 will sub ohm all the way to .1.look at the specs.any way that's my opinion on the ipv3. I was sold. I pre ordered today.as far as juice is concerned I make my own so I won't be much help with a good juice seller. Best wishes

Can't help with the 100w+ mods. That's a road I'm probably going down but have not quite made it there yet.

As far as juices. There's two particular threads on these forums which have increased my wish lists by orders of magnitude.

Fenway75's "Sampling Galore, a newbie's journey" where he goes into great detail on multiple flavors from various vendors but also checks back after giving them time to steep. 11 pages worth. Gotta break up the links since I'm a newb too and it won't let me post them:
e-cigarette-forum. com/forum/general-e-liquid-reviews/554972-sampling-galore-newbies-journey. html

And then there's the ECF Best of 2013 thread with pie charts.

I feel the same as HecticEnergy. I am also running a Turtle Ship SS mod with a Stillaire RDA. Needless to say, I enjoy my new setup as I am pumping out clouds constantly. On the topic of juices, I have mostly purchased juice from the B&M stores, locally. Although, I recently came in contact with some online juice that really blew my mind. The juice that I used was called "Milk and Honey" produced by Cosmic Fog. This is a 70/30 VG compilation, to my knowledge, which delivers superb flavor and outstanding cloud coverage. They also have a few other flavors that I wouldn't mind trying, but for most part I was sold on this lineup of juice. If anyone else has any good suggestions for dripping, by all means let me know.

There seems to be a lot of companies coming out with dripping lines. Dripaholics is a good line out of Dallas. I liked all of their flavors that I tried at Vape blast in San Antonio.

im not Going to take my resistance down as low as .1 on the ipv3 unit. I'm just saying in the Specs it WILL fire down to. .1. As for which batteries I will be using, I will be using in my ipv3 unit Two GENUINE, ( with a guarantee of authenticity), SONY, IMR, 18650, 30 AMP, VCT 5, 2600mah, High Drain Batteries. They are a bit pricy but very much worth the extra money. Ive used the Sony VTC5 in my ipv2 50 and they are very good batteries. I bought two more new ones just for my new ipv3 150 watt unit. Good batteries are VERY important! If you decide on the ipv3 150 watt unit and you are going to buy VTC 5 Sony batteries MAKE SURE the batteries come with a guarantee of authenticity. Because there are A LOT of knock off fakes being sold.!! You can also look online on how to spot a Fake Sony battery. Hope this answers the question on which batteries I will be using. Like I said, I won't personally sub ohm down to .1 because I don't vape at that low of a resistance. I was mearly pointing out in the Specs of the ipv3 150 watt unit, it WILL fire as low as .1. Someone was saying the unit won't fire a low resistance so I was pointing out that it is possible to go as low as .1. In my own builds I perfer my resistance to be between a .5 to .7. I don't usually go lower than a .5. But according to yihi, the chip manufacturer, the ipv3 will be getting more software upgrades in the future. It's shipping out with the first upgrade already installed. It went from 100 watts to 150 watts with this last upgrade. Yihi will be supporting this units software. Also it comes with a ONE YEAR MANUFACTURER WARENTEE! Which is very nice and at 133 dollars and free shipping, that's not bad at all considering the software support it will be receiving. Like I mentioned, I have the ipv2 50 watt unit and love it! I NEVER had ANY problems with it.

I hope you didn't feel my comments were directed at you (or anyone else for that matter). It was just my opinion that I'd be nervous about pushing that much wattage.

Good call on getting authentic sony vtc5s. I would add, but from a reputable source like rtdvapes or illumination supply. There are others, but amazon and ebay are not recommended.

A note to those who do plan on going down to .1 ohm or lower, most ohm readers can be off by about .1ohm, so it could be a dead short even though the ohm reader is reading it as a .1 or so ohm coil. Also, at that resistance, the internal resistance of the device takes on a lot more heat. I'm not sure what the accuracy claims on yihis board is specifically in regards to ohms.

To do this safely everyone should do their research before doing anything. Check your amp limits, check the resistance of the coil and make sure you are not exceeding your batteries amp limits (I know stacking batteries and having batteries in parallel do effect the amp limits and such, though I'm not sure exactly how as I have not jumped into those types of mods as of yet).
