New mod,tank not flush help?

Hey guys

Im new to vaping bought a voopoo drag 4 kit which has Uforce L subohm tank that setup was fine,
Then i bought a new mod because its becoming a hobby so i bought the istick power 2C 160wattwat.
i rly like the look but when i use my tank only got 1 atm the Uforce L.
it wont sit flush theres a slight gap you can see light shining under through it but on the drag its flush..
Is my mod defective should i return? It was their last one tho and i rly like the look.
Its like it wont screw all the way down touching the mod i can slide paper under it even
I looked at manual it does say spring floating 510 so idk

Edit: made a picture my phone takes terrible pics hard to see looks worse IRL i can even see the thread of the tank if i hold it up to light and let light shine through, what should i do is it defective its flush on my other mod this tank is

There's a good chance that the 510 thread at the bottom of the tank could be tightened up a bit more.
Grab a flat head screwdriver and give it a gentle tighten up clockwise this will help the tank sit flush

Unfortantly it does not its uforce l from voopoo i cant asjust it its just coper no slot for flathead so this is normal my mod 510 not defective?

Reviewed this one a while back and yes there was a slight gap but nowhere as wide as yours.

Got any store close by or do you know anyone with an extra tank?
First you need to figure out if its the mod or the tank,since you only got the one tank if you could procure another one just for test purposes you can see if its the mod or the tank.
If you put a different tank on top and there is no gap then its the tank,if the gap remains the same then its the mod.

Not sure what to do if its the mod,if its still under warranty just return it.

P.S: Performance wise,does it work? i mean does it vape when fired and does it read the correct ohms?

It works perfect but the thing is this tank sits flush on my drag 4 tho but they came together could it still be the tank? I cant return it i mean i can but ill lose the mod because this was the last one doubt they got a new stock in 2 days later and other mods around this price just isnt good there and i cant add any money cuz im broke atm oh they also dont give money back only store credit so i have to pick something else there

It's not the tank. The 510 connector on that mod isn't deep enough to accommodate the 510 of the tank. If it works, don't worry about it. If it bothers you, u can make a spacer to fill the gap. Just don't make it out of any metal.

Can i push it down is this a defect or does all power 2c like this so if i had an exchange itll be the same?

I have a couple 2Cs and all are raised slightly. My guess is to keep the top of the mod from getting scratched.

My L200 top plates are scratched up from a couple of tanks that tend to leave their mark

It looks to be by design, not a defect, though there does appear to be some variation in the size of the gap.

Do not push or do anything of that sort.
Small gap but it works which is the important part.

Yeh,it could be by design.


But i don't know its up to you but personally if it works correctly like no ''check atomizer'' message on the screen and it reads the correct ohms i would just keep it.
Specially if you got it for a good price and its hard to find more mods.

I don't know that mod specifically but I wouldn't try to force the tank in there. The pin is simply longer than the hole. Another solution, get a second, different tank for this mod.

The Lost Vape Thelema 200 is another mod that has a raised 510 plate,

so not all mods are designed to have atomizers sit flush.
I think that the Vaporesso Target mods are that way as well.

@The60WattGUY, purchase some atomizer spacers and be done with it. You place one on your mod then attach your atty. It's the easiest solution.

I found the 0.5mm spacers work the best. They are sold in several sizes (atty size) and spacer thicknesses.

The other alternative is to purchase some beauty rings. Doesn't matter if they are a metal or a plastic. I use both on various mods. They will do the same thing as the spacers. Depending on your atty and mod you may or may not have a slight overhang with a beauty ring.

Thanks that explains why there is no silver circle around the connector but some mods dont have it either and look like the 2c and sits flush,but then again they are diff companies,so this could be by design for this model yeah... ill keep it since its not a defect then ,what tank is that im specifically lookin for black tank for it the geekvape zeus is too big? At 26mm

Funny thing is i almost bought a thelema quest 200 or 100 still want too since my shop only has couple left and cant be found in other stores,
But before i buy i usually do research and reddit is FULL of topics where peoples lcd display breaks and acts weird after couple months,
lots of reports...
apperently only the quest version not dna,
Should i go for it soon?

The tank is a Geekvape Aero Mesh. It is a bit older and was followed by their Cerberus and then Obelisk C tanks.
They all can use SMOK Baby Beast compatible coils which a number of major manufacturers make versions of.

Just in case you look around for any of those, be aware that there is a regular Obelisk tank (no 'C') which I believe is a bit bigger and uses the Z series coils.

I haven't had any problems with that Thelema 200. It's not quite a year yet that I've been using it and am just coming up on 17,500 puffs.
It is not in use all the time though, I usually have three or more setups going.

I've actually used the Power 2C less than the Thelema, I'm only at about 7,200 puffs on the counter.
No issues to report.
