Being not activated by sound is a big plus but why bother with the cut off at all? The problem with the 5 second cut off wasn't so much the 5 seconds as the fact that they ended up malfunctioning such that you rarely got 5 seconds and then had to wait 2 minutes for another draw. Does it still cut out for 2 minutes?

You will never hit the cut off with this new genie battery, no one inhales for 10 seconds. I have been testing these batteries for 2 weeks now and I use my Intellicig all the time and it has never cut off since using it.

Exactly, so why have it? Given the other ones were forever cutting out long before the 5 sec mark (in my experience at least) it would appear the cut off is there for no other reason than to invite malfunction. How long do they cut out for?

The cut off is for added safety in case for some reason the battery fails to deactivate

The safety feature of our new model is the same as our previous model. After testing the battery throughout our tests the 2 minutes cut off gives the battery time to cool down if it needs to. At Intellicig a safe product is a must for us and we take safety very seriously.

Is this just the Genie so far? If so is there an ETA for the Atoms? I prefer the M402 (& the fact they come in Black & Silver (even if the Silver one doesn't have a Blue LED))
