Was hoping to get a shipping notice for 18350 p+ ordered 11/18 today. Anybody know why it takes so long to ship? Are they not ready to ship when he puts them up on his web site?

My guess would be he puts them on the site when they are done with the machining, because they are not likely to be screwed up at that point. Then there would still be benching out all the rough edges and the bead blasting or whatever he uses for the finish before packaging. Probably some testing of the final unit as well thrown in there. But I am only assuming.

When i put them back up for sale, i posted that i should have them all out last week and, well that just didn't happen as I had planned with Thanksgiving and all. P10's shipped out saturday, P18500's shipped out today and P18350's are shipping Wednesday. (you should have received a tracking number via email). P16340's will go out thursday and any stragglers Friday and then we'll be back to caught up on units.

Ok got my shipping notice this evening! Just didn't think it was going to be twelve days before it shipped. Last few pv's I've ordered from a highly sought after small manufacturer shipped within 3-4 days and since this was my 1st order from Super-T I was anxious. Looking forward to receiving it as you have a highly rated reputation on ECF for the quality of your devices. I understand the drive to promise things as quickly as possible to please the customer but IMO it would be better to under promise and over deliver.

I promise you'll find your P+ at least marginally acceptable. :)

Just out of curiosity, did you go for the protected batteries or the IMR?

Based on the photos and other peoples comments I expect I will be very pleased with the P+ 18350. And I'd much rather wait for a high quality product than lower quality faster. My comments were more about setting expectations. No big deal, just surprised by the length of time it took from placing the order to shipping notice.
As to the battery, I did not realize that a protected 18350 was available for this mod but I have been using AW IMR batts in my Reos and very pleased with the strong consistent hit so based in that I selected the IMR.

Ah, you're right. I was seeing 18350 and reading 18500 for some reason. My fault. There's my rectal cranial inversion for the day.

There do exist protected 18350 cells, but I think the IMR is a good choice. Seems like David posted a graph showing the difference in voltage drain under load between the protected and the IMR. I'll have to see if I can find it....

Update: It appears that he's posted graphs for 18650 and 18500, but not 18350. The shape of the curves is similar enough between those graphs that one might reasonably infer how IMR 18350 cells compare to P18350 cells. I think you'll get a hotter vape with IMR batteries but potentially more time between chargings with protected. Like David has said, it's all personal preference.

What is my preference?

I started on my P+ 18500 using IMR batteries. I'm now using protected batteries. After seeing David's graph for the 18490 / 18500 cells, I expected to be able to vape longer between charges on my protected batteries. In practice, though, I start to feel the voltage drain at about the same time every day as I did with the IMR cells. Sure, I could vape on the diminishing battery all day and still get decent performance. But around noon to 1:00 every day I start to miss the throat hit I get with a freshly charged cell, so I change them out. I don't have a meter with me, but I'm guessing that at that point my cells dip down to about 3.7 volts. You'll see according to David's graphs that that occurs at roughly the same time regardless of which type of battery you use.

So with that in mind, I'm considering going back to the IMR's. Having said that, though, sometimes fully-charged IMR's seem a little too hot, depending on the juice I'm vaping, the condition / gunkiness of my atty at the moment, and whether or not I've got a Mickey D's Sweet Tea to sip on.

Are IMR's better? It depends on your juice, your atomizer, and what you consider to be a spent battery.

I have a new "no hype" policy (thats why you didn't hear about the new PrecisePlus until right before release), but since you asked, I have designed another unique juice feeder thats more integrated and goes over the atomizer. Nothing like others out there. I won't and can't speculate when it will come out though, but do know i've got a plan :)

I've toyed with some simple tank designs. Tanks are really just the same principle as my Drip Tip invention, Recessed Orings sealing on the inner wall of a tube. I also have a more complex regulated design i came up with that doesn't isn't like conventional tanks out there now. What types of atomizers/cartomizers did you want tanks for?

Hey David, can you give us any news regarding this feeder? It's been a while since we've heard anything.

As long as I am digging through old comments, let me repost this gem:

Just thought I would post a quick comparison of voltage under load between the two 18350 devices I have on hand. Used the same freshly charged AW IMR 18350 battery and the same 3.3 ohm carto. The GG stealth registered 4.2 volts without a load and 3.8 volts under load. The P+35 registered 4.2 volts without a load and 4.0 volts under load. I'll compare again when I've run the charge down some but initial impression is that the new plated contacts really do make a measurable differance.
