Just got an MVP 2.0 with a iclear30 today. Very happy as I had it up to my ears with problems with my Pt 2 Mimi and spinner. Still new to vaping and not sure how to use watts yet. Currently I have it set to 9 watts and 4.2 volts with the coil reading 2.1 ohms. The iclear30 seems to have a lot tighter draw than the PT mini, any way to "loosen" it up a bit? juice is 50/50 and 18 mg.
Thank you to everyone in this forum for helping.

Hey Xavior, congrats on the MVP2!

With any variable wattage device, you can set either voltage or wattage, but not both. You set one, and the device will set the other accordingly. Since you are getting a watt reading, you are in wattage mode which is good. So the voltage it's showing you is basically the battery charge level. A fully charged battery will have 4.2v and drain to its nominal 3.7v rather quickly.

I also have an MVP 2 with an iClear 30, I like the draw on it. But you might try asking the MVP 2 user group here at ECF, they may have some suggestions that would work for you.

Glad you got the MVP 2. It's a great little device for sure. When I first got mine, an experienced MVP user told me to just use the P button and set the watts, and ignore the U button. I set the watts to 7.5 using the P button and that seems to work well with whatever clearomizer I'm using. I get good flavor and quite a lot of vapor with this setting.

I have Evod clearomizers, and some Smoktech ARO's. I tried out the eClear 30 that came with mine, and I decided I'm not a big fan of it. It seems to me that the flavor of the juices is muted when I used the iClear 30. Of course, that is just my opinion, and I know others like the iClear a lot.

Thank you, still trying to find my way around here.

No problem. I find that 6.5 watts or 7.0 watts is great for a Mini Protank. Much higher and I start getting burnt.

With a variable wattage device, you don't need to worry about resistance. The device will measure the resistance and automatically adjust voltage to achieve 6.5 to 7.0 watts.

9.0 watts on my Mini Pt's ALWAYS produced burnt flavor. The Mini PT's just could not keep up with the small wicks they have.

Quick note, I over filled the tank and gurgling. Is there an easy way to clear it or should I remove the coil and blow through it like the pro tank?

You can do that. I find it easier to simply roll up some paper towel or toilet paper really thin and shove it down the air hole.

Congratulations on the MVP. I like setting the voltage on mine rather than the wattage. My iclear 30 had a bad head, so I haven't used it. I normally use a Protank 3 at about the same ohms as the i30. I find that, depending on the juice, I really like mine at about 4.7 volts. Some juices are good at 5, but some are burnt tasting. Much less than that, and I don't get much flavor or vapor. YMMV.

I keep some good quality (No shedding) pipe cleaners around for a juice grabber in the air hole. You can reach down to the coil.
