With the Kentucky ban on vape stuff around the corner, I walked around the corner to my local vape shop and bought an rda. They had a couple others and I may go back for another one. This one is a Hellvape Rebirth. I don't know much about it really as to how long it's been around but that's not important. Looks like it takes a single coil, pretty easy build deck. It has bottom airflow and a kinda deep juice well. I would put it through it's paces tonight but I don't have any juice at the moment. I trust that it'll work famously and I'll be all set come the end of this month. Never thought it would happen here. Damn the tobacco companies straight to Hellvape.

You have me a little concerned. I just got back into vaping and I have to vape highVG. I’d been back on cigs for several years and recently learned I had to quit smoking. All the cessation options weren’t cutting it; so I went back to vaping to wean off nic. Every shop I went to pushed disposables; but after buying three different ones, I realized the problem…PG. I went to different shop that reminded me that it’s PG in the dispo’s. They sold me a pod-type setup. I thought I’d try what was modern (well, modern to me). It kept giving me issues; so I thought I’d have no choice but to try to search for a deck and learn how to build a coil or go back to analogs. I took my issue to the shop and they fixed me up with basically the same thing I used 10 years ago! I wish I’d known they had the same damn mods and tanks in the first place! They’re the same, just different names. I’m vaping great now, but have to wonder which regulation or ban will muck it up! This was long, but I didn’t vent about the pile of juices I bought trying to find one that wouldn’t trash my coils.

The modern ones generally come with squonk pins. I find squonking is how to make an RDA not a pain when driving.
This one has a squonk pin in the little packet of supplies. I don't have a squonk mod but ya never know what I might collect next

The deal is a lot of people smoke to keep from gaining weight. VG is basically chemically flipped karo syrup And it doesn’t just have calories, it’s got a lot of them, so the whole “keep the weight off” thing doesn’t work with high VG. So there are a lot of high pg juices out there. One can develop a sensitivity to pg a lot easier than VG though, so high VG juices are still around. You just gotta find them. If you DIY of course you can pick whatever you want. I used to be 90+% VG, but I’ve moved to 90+% PG because I now have high blood pressure and need to lose weight.

I never heard that before. Hard to believe a few mls of syrup could make that much difference weight wise. Even assuming you can absorb it through your lungs instead of your stomach. I mean you can't actually digest stuff in lungs.

They call it blood sugar for a reason. A few? Sure. 10/90 would be a few. 100ml is a bit less than half a cup, 70/30 could easily Be 60ml which is a squidge more than a quarter cup of what is effectively pure sugar. Karo syrup is 960 calories/cup. So enough to mess up a diet.

Pg, vg, and flavors have to be absorbed without problems or we’d all be dead in a year. Of drowning. Iirc the cdc thing was about that.

Stuff doesn’t have to pass through your intestine to raise blood sugar. Witness ringer’s lactate

The flaw in this discussion is though vg is a sugar alcohol, it isn't adsorbable. The "flipping" of the vg molecule prevents this. This is not uncommon, where one isomer is readily absorbed and the other isn't.

From healthline: Since glycerin is a form of sugar alcohol that your body cannot fully absorb, consuming too much — either alone or through foods — may also lead to gas and .........

Then why am I still alive? I’ve polished off gallon jugs of vg. If the stuff wasn’t absorbed I would have drowned many years ago.

Maybe the VG gets blown out when you exhale. Isn't the visible part of exhaled vapor made of VG.
Some. both pg and vg produce visible vapor. It’s micro droplets though which means at least some will adhere. Some have to adhere in your mouth for you to taste it. Sugar alcohols don’t hit blood sugar the way sugars do, but they still have calories which means they get absorbed. If they weren’t absorbed they’d act like olestra and people would be just as scared of Atkins diet candy bars as they are of olestra fried potato chips. For the same reason. Agave syrup also doesn’t mess with blood sugar like sugar does but they still make tequila out of it. And how different is tequila really from rum?
