Hello everyone. I'm 22 years old and lately i was smoking almost 1 pack of Marlboro Red each 24hours... I was getting tired of smoking, smell, pocket and health. Packs here are almost $9 each.

I bought myself from a local booth shop a Temperature Control eleaf TC40W with a Subtank Nano by kangertech. The juices i bought were Andromeda(Space Jam), John Harden(Inline Outlaw or w/e) and My favorite so far, Milk Honey by Cosmic Fog and also, last time i buy locally... Got all that for $152(11.5% tax here)
I don't like the John Harden... Got tired so fast of that flavors.

Questions:
1) The subtank in the inside i read it says 15-30W in the little thing(idk the name, someone help me) and my mod or battery is 40W. What does this mean?
2) Which are the best tanks out there? What should i know for my next purchase? I would like to have the best of the best of this, no matter the price.
3) Which are the best quality e juice out there? I bought Death by Chocolate by Virgin Line, waiting for it to arrive.

MONEY IS NOT A PROBLEM HERE, so, help will be appreciate it.

Hi @MarcosA and welcome to the forum.

1. The square little thingy is the coil head...it holds the coiled wire that heats the juice and the cotton wick that supplies the juice to the wire. the 15 to 30 is the recommended power in watts for you to vape with that coil.

2. I really enjoy my Kanger Subtank Mini's and Smok TFV4. You don't have enough power to run the Smok TFV4 so you may want to consider a new mod (battery) like the Smok CUBE II(160 watts to 180 watts), Sigelei 150 watt TC, Snow Wolfe (200 watts),IPV4 (120 watts), and I am certain there are others to consider.

3. I DIY most of my juices and taste is relative to each of us so I would suggest going to a local vape shop and sampling the flavors. You can check this link for sales : DEALS and STEALS - https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/deals-and-steals.418767/ (go to last couple pages)

and here also :

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply!

1. So, since mine says 15-30 and my mod goes until 40w that means i shouldn't vape higher than 30W. I do 20W, if i go higher the throat hit is way to much, not sure if that because the W or the juice. I think i'm good with this mod.

2. I really love this mod or battery, it's small, it fits in my hand and pockets. I read about the Cube II after i bought this one :S I also like the battery to be built in, easier to charge and all, does the Smok Cube II have built in battery?

3. I will also check the forum suppliers then! Again, money is not an issue when it comes to buying something i want, but saving money is a big deal for me aswell! So might aswell try vendors here since i guess they cheaper?

Man i love that Smok TF40 looks, easy fill, and the technology, i want it. But mine can't run it. I really can't even handle 40W with mine, does that mean i wouldn't be able to handle the Cube II to run that tank?

howdy! and welcome!

in regards to the tfv4 tank, will be all about what coil you use - there are like 10 different coil options, lol - the triple coil and the quad coil require about 80-90 watts to really shine, but there are other coils for it also

there are now 2 versions of the x cube 2 - a full size (180watts - dual battery box - requires external batteries) and a mini (75watts - single battery box - also requires external batteries)

and while i appreciate the convenience of a built in battery, keep in mind, when that battery goes, so does the mod... with externals, you just replace the battery...

well worth checking out the Uwell Crown tank also - top fill, amazing performance - has a .5 ohm and a 1.2 ohm coil available (i think .5 is good in the 30 watt range) as well as a .25 ohm coil (zomg - rocks at 70 watts) and .15 Ni200 TC coil...

Crown and TFV4 are hands down, my 2 favorite tanks - Crown is a bit more user friendly, TFV speaks to my inner nerd, lol - and MAN, can they vape...

from a personal standpoint, I have the full size Smok X Cube 2 and love it - great mod (the bluetooth/ android app is kaka, but hopefully they will fix it...)

I have one and run the triple coils at 60 watts. I have run it at 90 watts but was a tad too warm for me. It's about the smoothest tank I have used. If you build your own coils you could get it with an rba (build deck) and run it on less wattage.

If you decide to grow into a more powerful mod the ones I listed above would be a good place to start researching (internet reviews, you tube). There are a lot of mods out (75 watts for example) that aren't as large as the CUBE II I have, that use one replaceable battery. The upside to replaceable batteries is you aren't "tethered" to a cable when the mod recharges. The downside is you need extra batteries and a good separate charger.

IMHO you can't beat an Istick 30w or 40w for size, cost, and ease of use if you're not vaping at high power. I too like not having to deal with separate batteries and chargers. So when it dies in a year or two I shell out another 27 bucks for a new one. A charger set and a separate battery cost more than that.

Are you telling me i can just buy the TFV4 Tank and switch to a smaller coil to use it with my mod?

Also, what's the dif between those triple and quad coils? I honestly don't look much into big clouds or anything... I mainly got into this to quit smoking, and also for the taste <3

Thanks for replying and sorry for the noobs questions, i gotta start somewhere!

Heh you're telling me the iStick TC40W cost $27? I got so ripped off in the local store... But i just didn't wanna wait time, i threw my cig packs away and bought this, got sick of smoking.
And i agree man, I put it to charge when i go to sleep if the battery is low or when it goes low and i'm in the house. It really last a lot, atleast 1 and a half day for me.

You have to shop online and look around, you do have to pay for shipping. But if you're buying other things it works out. I never charge batteries while I sleep, and always charge on a non-flammable surface.

no worries - triple coil is three separate coils in separate chambers inside single coil head... quad coil is two stacked parallel coils (four coils total in play) with single airflow through center - both work very well, but require a good bit of wattage... i believe there is a 1.2 ohm coil available that would not require as much power, or you can build coils in rba deck that would require less power...

but the uwell crown with .5ohm coils can be run easily in 35-40 watt range, i believe

Thanks!! So, where can i find the perfect and best coil that runs up to 40w and also that it fits TFV4 Tank? I will buy it.

I found this one http://vaping360.com/smok-tfv4-coils-overview-and-review/
TF-T2 Air (20-45W) 1.5ohm That means that one will work with the TFV4 Tank? But i read the taste wasn't gonna be as good as with others coils and also sweet spot is at 40w... I can't barely handle 30w with this one.Or is that because of the PG?

Also, can anyone inform me about the 100% VG liquid? I bought some. Why have i read that some coils will run it and others not? I wonder if mine can.
VG is much thicker and some sweeter than PG(flavor carrier). VG also is the cloud producer in juice. I vape mostly 50/50 or 40pg/60vg juice, but thats just my preference. VG is also thicker than PG so therefore it will wick slower. If the tank you use has small wick holes it can be an issue, but that also depends on how hard and how often you hit it. Your Subtank shouldn't have an issue with the VG juice. If it does you can thin it some with a couple drops of distilled water (99 cents a gallon in grocery stores). Some juice vendors already thin their juice to make them wick easier so you may not have an issue.

As to the TFV4 I don't know all the coils they have for it. http://www.smoktech.com/atomizer/tfv4 With the rba (build deck) you can build coils that will run nicely on it. My TFV4 rba came with a coil in it and 2 spares.

Thanks a lot for all the help. I Appreciate it. I will try the Virgin Line i bought, 100% VG, if i like it, i will keep buying 100%. If not, ill go to 80/20 or drop to 60/40. Gotta find the perfect one for me. I quit smoking 6days ago, so i vape when my body needs it, mostly all the time im home or in the car, my hits are not huge. I think i vape a couple of hits each 10min probably.

Distilled water method sounds interesting, will give it a try. And, i think i will buy the TFV4 as of right now, find one for $24. Coils? I will read more about it and see the right one to get for it, 20-40 atleast.

There any place i can sell/trade e liquid here? I bought Black Note Prelude .06 thinking i was gonna like it... I didn't like it, and i really not gonna try it. Just did like 10 hits and tasted bad for me, i thought i was gonna like tobacco e liquid but i guess i didn't.
