Well I'm not a new owner yet but my silver/black Grand is in the mail. Should be here in about a week/eternity. Coming from a Revolution b2b so my learning curve should be short however my main concern is dust in the catch cup. I kick up a lot of sawdust at work. Has anyone come up with solution to reduce this but still maintain proper airflow?

I don't work around sawdust but I keep my reo of the day in my pocket no matter where I am. Every couple of days I take a qtip and clean out the catch cup that way. I guess it also depends on what you use - atty or carto. Carto's will keep the catch cup alot drier than an atty for easier cleaning.

When it gets too grungy looking I give the reo a bath under hot water. After its all clean and dry it looks as good as the day I got it. Put a dab of noalox on the firing pin and it works as good as the day I got it.

Seems like a simple elegant solution but my pockets don't seem to be exempt from dust either haha. Maybe I'll try the rubber washer but drill some small air holes in it.

Just get an assortment of o-rings. Find one that rolls down the outside of your atty or carto and skootch it down to the catch cup. Adjust it a little if the airflow is restricted. That's what I use in the barn with a carto. :)

Margie, I love that skootch! I think I could learn to roll it and skootch it down too! Thanks for the pictorial diagram that played in my mind! I just might try that soon!

This has got to be a question for the mod master himself lol Enjoy your Grand when you get it, you've chosen well :)

As a logger in the dry country in Washington State, I work under some of the dustiest conditions imaginable. I keep my Grand in my shirt pocket but even then, I'll think to look in the cup at some time during the day and it'll look like a mouse's toilet bowl that he forgot to flush. I'll take a deep breath and blow out the bigger chunks and continue on with my day. When I get home at night, I'll use canned air to blow it clean. No big deal.:)

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
If the catch cup gets sawdust collected in it, then I would suspect the drip tip would also get it and it falls into the atty and either burns off or clogs. Does that make sense?

My wife tells me she smells wood burning when I think too hard. :)

It just customizes your juice flavoring that's all  some dirty not too bad some tastes like shi*

Well, the cup is more likely to catch the sawdust. Nevertheless, if you are in a heavy sawdust environment, some of it will find its way into your drip tip. The guy to talk to about this is Rob--the woodmaster. He certainly deals with this every day and can give you a more complete reply than any one of us. I suggest you PM him. JMO:)

I tend to collect a bit of chaff and hay seeds even when in my pocket if I am at the barn. I have learned drip tips do not work well as they allow it to get into the atomizer. So for these times I use cartomizers, when the catch cup get gunked
up I just unscrew it and wipe out the catch cup. Has been working fine for me.

I'm with you. My barn set up has a XL carto without a drip tip, and an o-ring rolled down to the catch cup. :)

Well a long steep in aged oak might make for a delicious vape :p, however the dust i produce includes acrylic, bondo, concrete and a wide assortment of other noxious materials. After another full day of use with this setup im thrilled with the outcome. It even helps reduce spillage in the event of a tip-over. Heres a pic for those that are curios.
