Project for us vapers to support
- Interessengemeinschaft E-Dampfen

Even though i don't understand german here's a link to the petition translations in 9 languages including english:
Petition - Interessengemeinschaft E-Dampfen

And last but not least the most important, the petition:
http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/e-zigarette-in-gefahr

I ask all of you to sign it, it's the least we can do now since that if this directive is to be accepted vaping as we now it will be over. This one is not the old petition about e-cig banning but a new one, seems to me more organized, against this latest directive proposal, and the nicotine level in e-liquids limitation. Lets hope we can help and do something signing the petition to change this.

Thank you all :)

P.S. This petition would be very helpfully supported by a letter to your local Member of Parliament and Member of the European Parliament detailing exactly how e-cigs have helped you and why putting limits on it would be a bad idea! I saw a video thing about this a while ago, when the ban was first suggested and the guy on there said to NOT use templates as they just put them in a pile and recognise it as a sort of petition, thus assuming it to be one complaint. The more variation, the more they have to take note!

In short, WRITE TO YOUR MEP too!!! (please!)x

As I am a member of the IG-ED (- Interessengemeinschaft E-Dampfen), a non-profit, independent consumer association of German-speaking vapers, who initiated this petition:

May I ask everyone to sign? It's directly referring to the proposal (dated Dec. 19, 2012) for the EU tobacco directive. And it seems it's one of the most successfull so far in terms of signees, counting about 16,800 right now. Which is still much too few on the other hand of course. But we have already signs that members of the European Parliament took notice.

Link to petition again: http://www.change.org/de/Petitionen/e-zigarette-in-gefahr

Link to the page with the petition text in many differerent languages: Petition - Interessengemeinschaft E-Dampfen

Every European vaper should sign this so that we can prevent the EU from sentencing us to death by smoking tobacco again.

Thank you!

It is hard to escape the impression that the pharmaceutical industry
was significantly involved in the proposal.

Did I say something unintentional funny?

As support for the petition we (the IG-ED) created a flyer in a few languages for everyone to print out and to pass it on - to shops, friends, collegues etc.:

http://ig-ed.org/presse/petition/Petitionsflyer_EN.pdf (English)
http://ig-ed.org/presse/petition/Petitionsflyer_CZ.pdf (Ceština)
http://ig-ed.org/presse/petition/Petitionsflyer_PL.pdf (Polski)
http://ig-ed.org/presse/petition/Petitionsflyer.pdf (German)

Would be nice if you would make use of it. Thank you!

Kind Regards

YOU didn't say anything funny ...

You posted this link: Click Here

One of the points made below this line
"Let us start with an abstract of the statements arising from the
following detailed submissions to clearly emphasize the key aspects:"

"It is hard to escape the impression that the pharmaceutical industry
was significantly involved in the proposal."

Ah well ok, I made no difference between my post and the text in the link. The "open letter" too was not translated by a native English speaker, so I am always alerted if there might be a wrong or funny expression. ;)

Not the case. I think all vapers have that same impression so that's the reason of all the winking and tongues. ;) :p

I must say very very well stated. :thumb:
