Been almost a year since I joined the forums, and about 10 months since I started vaping. So finally I'm posting. I'm a pack-a-day smoker when I'm not vaping. Usually around hour 8 of the day I get the urge for an analog, and that ruins my vaping for the rest of the day and the next. Being on an extremely low budget, I've been re-using things to heck and back (I seriously have my two original e-cigs. Smoking Everywhere GOLD one (auto) and a Joyce 510(manual).) I take good care of my equipment and I'm looking to expand.

Personal notes:
4081: Doesn't do it for me. I found quite fast that I have to control myself or switch addys otherwise carts start melting. Even though I am using 24mg liquid (which is quite high for a pack a day smoker,) I feel myself wanting a cig in between cool-down periods.

510: I enjoy the feel of pushing the button, and the hit I get is pretty good, but on the edge of too much. I think I may drop nic content in my next liquid purchase, as I tend to rely on this one more and it'll reduce the throaty, and possibly pick up a Passthrough since at work I'm at a comp for 10 hours, then I go home and sit on the comp for 5 hours, undecided on that.

My fiancee was watching me actually smoke on the computer. I light a cig and hit it maybe 3 times total, but most of the time it's just sitting between my lips, burning away. A general question would be "what is the lightest e-cig out there," but I know that most of them would still be heavier than an actual cig. The other part of the problem is if I do take that occasional hit, it should feel nice, like the 510.

I understand I'm doing a bit of rambling, so please hang in there with me. I think I may like the bulkiness of the eGo or the box mods, but I am unsure as $40+ is a chunk to part with. I'm looking at the box mod kit for less than $10 and thinking I can do it, but I am unsure whether it will be a "lasting" purchase, such as these previous two kits were.

I hope to provide some feedback over time for other users, such as the PTB mod utterly failed for me on the 4081, no difference on the 510, (I use the 2/3 poly fill.)

I apologize for the questions I didn't directly ask, but any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello ECF! I am finally emerging from the dark.

Welcome to ECF, an ego is great for carrying around (650 mAh for the small batteries) and if as you said you are on a limited budget....
If you get a ego battery WITH built in pass thru, it would use the same 510 atty / carto you now have, the battery charges while you
vape at the computer and when you disconnect you have a 6-8 hour battery life.

I've found the blue foam cart mod to work better than the PTB, wicks nicer and easier to adjust for the thickness of your juice by using
larger or trimming the piece of foam.

When you say "lightest e-cig out there", are you talking weight, or strength? I used to use a supermini, but moved to an eGo, which is not small or light. I would still use the little one to let hang in my mouth because I used to do the same thing. That feeling is gone now . . . for the most part. I still let my eGo hang in my mouth sometimes too.

It almost sounds like you might do well "pacifying" with the small one that doesn't cut it for you, but also keep the 510 around for the pleasure. You can get a passthrough too . . . there are fairly light ones that you can plug in to charge and vape, but also take it off and go around with it. This one, has 280mAh for battery life compared to the regular 510 battery's 180mAh. Then you get into bigger batteries.

Lightest model with some shred of respect is probably M403 (length and diameter of a king cig, very short battery life, I think auto only) and M402 (length and diameter of a 110 cig, available in manual or auto). Their carts are a bit of a pain in the a. About a .4ml inner cart which you have to push up with a paper clip for filling. I replace the white stuffing with blue foam. I get a decent hit off it when the atty and foam are clean but I was a light and ultralights smoker and not a hard dragger.

I checked - BTW my lips are not big and not very strong - I can't hold M402 with just my lips - hangs almost straight down! I tried the passthrough which is lighter than the M402 battery but longer (M402 length) and too much length to hold in my lips. Maybe an M403 would work? I don't know if it would give you the kind of hit you want but you could try it?

Maybe someone knows a short super light passthrough that would work better?

It's not a huge difference, but if the $50 pricetag on the eGo is a little rich for your liking, you could always try the Riva (pretty much the same thing) from Liberty Flights for $30. As far as bang for the buck goes, that's about as good as they get, and it'll work with all of the 510 stuff you already have. Just be sure to click on the 20% off tab in the upper left hand corner. :)

check out libertyflights they have riva's for 29.00 plus 2.99 shipping and they use your 510 parts they really are not that big they are about the same size as a AA battery just longer and they have a flat bottom so you can just stand it up on the desk when not vaping oh ya you need to click the 20% off logo in the upper left corner of the home page. just a thought

I had the same plan when I started, John. Be prepared to get spoiled. My 4081 lasted as a pacifier for about three days until I decided the eGo blew the 4081 out of the water. ;)

I think I just keep my 4081 on hand now to let friends try out. I've gotten one convert from that, so maybe there's something to it.

And hopefully soon smoke free breath on my end! I think I may just get the eGo and use my 4081 as a pacifier.

Sounds like a good plan. Nothing is permanent, and there will always be a next since the batteries won't last forever. :)

Every time someone posts "EFC" I think of KFC. Is it just me?? :)

No, I see an alien smoking. That is what I first saw when I came here, and that is what I think every single time I type ECF. I don't know why.

Welcome John! I've only been here a week, but have gained a wealth of knowledge and some great friends in the process. My first e-cig showed up here in the mail on 12-27, so I'm new to vaping too. Despite what my sig says, I'm still giving in to the urge to smoke several analogs a day.....usually when my only e-cig is charging up. Hang in there......eventually you'll give up the analogs for vapping full time!!

This is exactly what I do except I have the $29.95 Riva from Liberty Flights rather than the eGo. I don't know why there isn't any love for the RN4081. It's a small, light weight vaporizer, but it does feel far more like a cigarette than a lot of other models on the market. I can vape on mine for an hour or two, but that's all I need it for. When I leave for work, I have the Riva510 in one pocket and a RN4081 in the other. Works for me and I can pretend pretty easily the 4081 is a real smoke. I choose the RN4081 over my KR808d-1 as a back up any day of the week.

To each their own, but this combo has kept me smoke free since October. Everyday I kind of marvel at the fact that I don't smoke any more. Still seems unreal.
