Not to me it wasn't Tibby. I only asked specifically for that yesterday evening.
I suppose the other option would be for people to either:
A) get rid of the links.
B) edit the links every day to point to the post(s) that we paste into PVT (hard to coordinate, impractical).
As much as I like them, better to get rid of them long-term than overstay our welcome in BWB (which was a temporary solution until this got set up).

I offered the secondary place in BWB as a favor and a solution for linking AND to keep things simple...its already there. It is not clear to me why you are not in favor of it being there.

I know how it works now. I know whis copies it to BWB. It works OK.....
Until either A) whiskey "drops out", (God forbid) gets hit by an e-juice truck, has to be away for a few days, goes on safari, whatever. Then, the list in BWB is out of date, all the links point to an OLD list with (possibly) incorrect times and/or missing people.
This is USUALLY not a problem. The list may not even change in the short term. It's the exceptions that kill ya. So... the discussion (read back into the now-closed discussion) was to try and get it out of being "tied to a person". Remember it got moved to BWB when jj2 quit editing it and we had to find an "emergency place" to have the discussion thread and store the list.
The best solution is to keep it on ECF. We have similar issues with an external website...if you create a website, it's "tied to you". My hope was to have it publically viewable in this forum solution somehow so we could link to it. Alas, I don't know how the vbulletin software works enough to suggest any other alternatives than the one I did.
I'd rather remove the links than have to keep them in sync manually all the time. Just post the list twice a day in the main thread and "call it good". Even though I'd miss them a lot. Avoids potential problems and confusion.
Remember they have a contest tied to the times posted on that list. (Bonus drawing tied to attending avatar party)

OK. Look... I'm just trying to avoid problems before they happen. Take yesterday for example. There was a period of time where whiskey's copy of the list (accessed via her sig) said X:XX AM for rel322 and Tibb's posted version in the thread said "X:XX PM"... this was due to the reschedule.
Now, I know the user was part of the reschedule, so it's not a big deal. But, I just don't understand why you don't want to keep it simple and just post the current copy in the thread, lose the hot links. Nothing to get out of sync that way. Whenever you have two copies of something, you have synchronicity issues. Just say'n. Probably not a major issue since these types of changes are not usually "last minute" and involve the user's input anyway.
This can be mitigated a bit by having the list editors try and avoid making changes when whiskey is unavailable when possible. That way she can copy the changed list quickly.

Of course BWB is on ECF tibby. You're being obnoxious dear. The "best on ecf" was a reference to the next sentence in the paragraph it began (external website). I know mods can help. One concern is that we not over-stress mods. That would only happen in an exceptional case tho, not as a general rule. And I suppose "that's what they're there for".
However, if you K.I.S.S. then there is no issue to begin with.

I get your point- in terms of synchronizing it's cleaner to just post the list in PVT. The issue is when PVT gets going fast and it's impossible to find the list again in the thread. Trying to get the timing down is also reasonable. That may not be possible, but over the next week (since i'll become guinea pig list editorthis evening sunday) if i edit the list I'll also send a PM to Whiskey.
We can also try to be aware of the "last edited by" information in the posts... that way we can all track the version in both places.

one last thought for atty - even if the list were in one place only and linked to such, discrepancies will happen. no editor will be working 24/7. i usually update twice a day. sometimes i'll catch a change or add-on right away but that happens rarely. so, if you pull up the list at a certain time it might not be right one yet .....
