I started off with an igo-w which I thought was really really easy and simple enough to learn and figure out.
I got a kayfun lite a few months later, and same thing. It does have a tank of juice on it and there are more parts, but it's mostly a bunch of unscrewing.

I think what's more important is understanding ohms and resistance. Wire thickness, number of wraps, mircocoils etc..

Thanks everyone for the info, been reading up on everything. I will definitely look into the igo, i much prefer a tank and am always on the move so its more convenient for me but in regards to practicing coil/wick building, i definitely see its use. I don't see myself buying many other rbas/devices. As of now, i currently own two provaris w/ 2 nautilus tanks and both have been working perfectly with the proper cleaning/maintenance. I want a RBA so first see the difference it can have on the profile of the juice but also because i see it as a better investment as opposed to buying more nautilus coils. Can't deny that i enjoy building/taking things apart and the russian 91 in black just looks sick. Will continue reading everything and make my decision later, see what will be the best route; if it is the igo at first so be it.

I know someone stated that the kayfun 3 pyrex tank from sov fits on the russian 91 v2, can anyone confirm this? How do i contact them, tried via facebook but no reply.

You can in my experience, if it doesn't terrify you, save yourself a lot of frustration with the kayfun and its clones by using a rayon wick. I haven't experienced a bad build or dry hit since making the transition, and quite frankly would be devastated going back to cotton. I was a stainless mesh wick advocate for years but at this point it's all about rayon. All the flavor of stainless, as easy to work with as cotton, and better wicking than both of them by an incredible degree.

If you're set on an RBA tank, I dont think you can find a better clone, at a better price than the Kayfun 3.1 at 101vape.
I believe this is a HCigar clone. I have one, and I have the kayfun lite +. The 3.1 is a better vape. Better airflow with the AFC screw removed; Large capacity; easy to build; smooth draw; solid build. Its only leaked on me once, and it was my fault. It comes with a plastic and SS tank section. I just use the metal tank and refill with the hit starts getting dry.
Are there better RBAs? Yes, but this one is fantastic for $16 ($18 shipped).
Additionally, most everyone here will attest that the service from 101vape is top notch, with quick shipping.

Thanks, will check out that kayfun clone. Anyone have any idea on a glass tank replacement for any of these? Would love to simply use one tank as opposed to switching out the SS from time to time. Also, I am currently using a provari; would 30 gauge wire work best/better than 28 gauge?

Picking up some Koh Gen Do cotton to use as my wick.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

I like 32 gauge wire in the kayfuns, the deck is pretty small, so the small coil is nice, and 32 gauge has a great response time in my opinion. It heats up to where you want it quick when you want a vape, and cools down quicker than the thicker gauges too, which preserves your wick(a big concern with cotton in my experience). the only downside is that it's not as easy to work with as 28 gauge. I don't have any personal experience with 30, although I have used 34 and 36 gauge and just found them too compact and easy to break for me. For me, 32 gauge is the best wire around unless you are working in something like a RDA or a Genesis with lots of extra room.

A ProVari is a regulated device, which means you can't run at very low resistances. I've never had one, so I don't know it's limit - you might ask in the ProVari forum.

In any event, you can check out the relationship between wire thickness, wraps and resistance here:

Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

All you have to do is plug in the relevant numbers, and Bob's your uncle. It works for any coil on any device.

I was in the exact same boat as you provari, nautilus, reading any and ever thing, etc. Pulled the trigger on a taifun gt Tuesday. Was looking at same rba's as you. Reason for choosing this one being it went on sale at a local b&m for $22 and I couldn't beat that anywhere by time I added s&h. By my 2nd build which was my 2nd build ever it is working great and that's just using cotton with the wire that came in the box because the supplies I've ordered online haven't got here yet. So my advice is jump in...any model you get will be a step up. Do I have the best build...no way. Did I get the right rba... for now but I'm sure others will be bought just so I can experience them myself. Is the flavor improved over nautilus...100%. Since you like to tinker with stuff... it is honestly no harder than it looks on youtube and will just get better from there. Just my 2 cents.
