Well, it's official. You can add me to the rolls. I have drunk the Kool-Aid and it was good. Real good. There will be a small ceremony at my house this afternoon where I pack up and bid fond farewell to my once beloved mech mod, Sigelei Mini Z-Max, ProTank 2s, and Taifun. They served me well, but their time has passed. My tank fiddling days are behind me.
I received my LP REO Grand yesterday. I snipped a V in the tube, dropped a 28 ga 1.0 ohm coil in the RM2, filled it with juice, gave it a squonk, and...BOOM. Wow. I knew I was gonna like it, but what can I say? Sweetness. Dense, flavorful vape from an elegant, low-profile device.
This bad boy rips through juice like it's leaking out the bottom. But that could be me. I have had a difficult time removing it from my hand. And I DIY, so I don't really care. I can handle the 50 cents a day it's gonna set me back.
Next project? I might bore out the RM2 to a 1/16" airhole, but maybe not. I'm gonna give it a day or so to consider. Definitely gonna look into modding a couple of my drippers to BF. Dual coil Trident might me a nice topper on this. I know it's been done. And I might need to drop to a 6 on the nic. My ears are ringing. But then again, that could be vape angels singing.

WooHoo Skimmer! Welcome to Reoville!!

As of yet there is no surgical procedure to remove a REO from one's hand. There is just no demand for it. :)

You are off to a fast start and I'm sure you will be receiving an official Reonaut badge as soon as you post a picture of your new appendage. It's in the by-laws to post pics.

And yes, a lot of Reonauts drop their nic level and find their juice allowance having to be increased. Like you say, DIY all the way!

Congratulations again and keep us informed how your experience pans out. We already know the answer but we still love hearing it over and over again! :toast:

I'm actually considering getting a Reo. I'm so sick of dripping onto my wicks....

Anyways, my question is whether you heard of a modified Trident V2 or just the original Trident? I have two V2's and would like to know if I could make them BF so I don't have to buy a new atty that I might not like (the RM2). Everyone raves about it but I really like my Trident V2's so I wouldn't mind saving the money and just making them BF.

It can be done as some have told you. It wasn't the easiest atty to mod, but has become my favorite. One bit of advice I can give is, patience is a virtue....

Thanks to all! This community of loyal and avid Reonauts played no small part in my decision. I figured that a device which inspires this sort of following has got to be good and Rob had to be doing something right.
As for pictures.....well, I'm not saying I'm a technologically backward old fart, but the first computer I ever saw was housed in its own specially cooled building and was programmed with punch cards. Packed less computing power than your phone. But, I'm here to tell you, it was a marvel at the time! By the time I figure out how to get a photo on this forum, it will be old news. But take my word for it, it's orange and purdy. It's supposed to be blemished in some fashion, but I have been over it with a fine tooth comb and can't find a blemish.

Welcome, you will love the mechanical aspect then. I saw that computer you mention. Fortran programming in school, made me change my major!

I too am a new Reonaut. Got my LP Reo Grand two weeks ago. I still can't get it out of my hand. I thought I'd go straight to work modding my RDAs for bottom feeding but to be honest, I am so satisfied with the RM2 that I haven't had the desire for anything else. I did drill out the air hole. First to 5/64 then to 3/32. I'm running a .47 ohm coil (7 wraps of 24g Kanthal, 3/32 ID) with Rayon wick. It's just fantastic.

Finally, I have to say now that I have my Reo I'm realizing just how dangerous it was to drip and drive!
