I was wrong. The XL in the previous mod is not as bad as I thought it was. This happened because I was not thinking about something that should have been discussed long ago. I apologize for not saying something before now.

So listen up boys and girls. The old man is about to say something important. The E2 coil will run too hot almost immediately if there is a restriction in the intake. The juice will burn quickly and the wick can not keep up enough to prevent it.

I discovered this sometime back with a KR808. My Kr808 batteries have 3 small air holes in the fitting. An E2 works well on these batteries. I have two KR808 to 510 adapters that only have two holes in the fittings. When a KR808 E2 is vaped with these adapters at the lower voltage of a 510 battery, it runs hot and ruins the taste of my juice. This may not happen with everyone and their flavors, etc., but it sure can happen with some.

Naturally, there are different things that cause restrictions, so you will have to determine what's wrong if you are troubleshooting. It may be something as simple as a small amount of crud in a small hole. In my particular case with the bottle mod, it was a combination of a faulty E2 and my Hello battery.

This E2 was faulty because the insulating grommet for the center post was too loose in the fitting. Therefore, the center post would not stay in place for the Hello battery to make an electrical contact until the air gap closed up too much. I already knew this. I just didn't have my head screwed on right. The mod worked better when it was screwed on to a 510 battery.

Yeah, I know. I can modify my Hello battery so this wouldn't happen. There just hasn't been a need to because I never force the gap closed too far. That is, until today when it closed up just a wee bit too much.

Ok So I was trying to eliminate the leaking and flooding with it turned on it's side and upside down... So what I did was similar to stormin. But I used the original filler ring attached it to the top of the cup inserted into the bottle than used the leftover piece of carto tubing and places it through the top around the filler ring I can now turn the mod upside down side ways no flooding or leaking at all.... And it vapes amazing doesn't dry out at all ....here's some pics I have a ba camera but I'll give it a shot

Hopefully, I will be making a one piece unit that will be doing the same thing that some of you guys are trying now. Right now, I don't know how long to make it. All we're really doing is getting the coil further away in an open chamber. What I have in mind will do the same thing in either a bottle mod or in the original tube. It will just make everything longer in either case. The XL is already too long, so that is why I'd rather see a factory version with a larger diameter.

i used a pipe cutter to cut the tubing and it crimped a little when cutting.....

this is hard to explain

where the mouth piece is inserted over the cup i also ran the pipe cutter around the tube about and 1/8 up to crimp slightly so when i put the mouth piece over the cup i wouldnt push it to far

i dont know how neccesary that is it will work without it but i did it anyway..

did u enlargen the slits in the filler ring, they have little groove snow but should they be bigger??

no i didnt i remember u had done that b4 but i wasnt really expecting this to work out as well as it did lol.... i dont think it would help at all if any thing it might make it more prone to a leak......

edit- i know br must have about 20 of these lined up and hes laughing at us ....lol

I laughing just because some of you kids are learning to think for yourself. I'm proud of you.

Take my word for it bad. Don't worry about the slits. They may make things worse if you line them up.

Anyone willing to share how they cut the hole in the bottom of the bottle the right size and clean so it doesn't leak?

I can put a 'wad cutter' through the top of the bottle and bang a hole in the base but of course it wouldn't be a big enough diameter to fit the drip-tip/tube.

There's my dilemma.

i used the green ^ shaped dremel tool, and pushed it through then pushed around the wall make aa larger hole as i went around in a circle, stopped periodicly to put my drip tip at the hole to keep checking when i hit the right size, i kept the hole smaller then the actual drip tip so it would be a extra snug fit.
