Clovehunter brought it to my attention that Smokeless Image now carries an Echo-type big battery, which comes with the charger. Also has a passthrough, and is regulated like all Volt products.

1300mah: $30
900mah: $25
650mah: $20

Does anyone know if this is an actual Echo, and if not, what kind?

Copy of the transcript from my chat if anyone is interested. I probably missed a bunch of questions you vets would have wanted, sorry haha, I'm pretty new to this as stated in other threads...

(09:13:10) Visitor 849951928: how are you doing? Was wondering, do these work with all 808 carts and tanks?
(09:14:02) *** Heather joined the chat ***
(09:14:46) Heather: our cartos are 808 model but there are a lot of different model types for this. so other companies cartos MAY work, but its not a sure thing.
(09:14:57) Heather: We do not recommend using tanks on our batteries, however
(09:15:05) Visitor 849951928: how come?
(09:15:11) Visitor 849951928: the tanks i mean
(09:17:05) Visitor 849951928: ?
(09:17:16) Heather: tanks are dual coils and you will fry your battery faster.. the batteries are only made for single coils
(09:17:59) Visitor 849951928: ok, so if there is a single coil tank out there the reason for concern would diminish then i take it
(09:20:11) Heather: I'm going to have Tom join us, he is more familiar with the bigger mods =)
(09:20:23) *** Tom joined the chat ***
(09:20:25) Visitor 849951928: ok thanks,
(09:20:33) Tom: Hey there. How can I help you today? =)
(09:20:37) Visitor 849951928: hey how ya doing?
(09:20:39) Visitor 849951928: was curious
(09:20:50) Tom: not bad =)
(09:21:13) Visitor 849951928: there wouldn't be a problem using these new maxx batteries with say the clear and easy 808 tanks from cigeasy would there?
(09:22:34) Tom: I would not see an issue with using a 808 tank on a manual MaXx batterty but I would not use it on the automatics. As well I would not use dual coil or a Low Res
(09:23:22) Visitor 849951928: ok. why not on the autos? im pretty new to this, but ive seen them used in review on auto 808 and IIRC actual volt 808 batts specifically
(09:23:31) *** Heather left the chat ***
(09:24:24) Tom: The autos still have a hole inside of the connection for the airflow sensor which if liquid from the tank gets into it, That can kill the switch or battery inside of the housing
(09:25:24) Visitor 849951928: aah ok. so because the tank is just liquid sloshing around instead of being soaked into filler its a bigger issue. are the auto's sealed though?
(09:26:14) Tom: Yes. You can use it on the manual batteries that we offer which should not present much of a problem
(09:27:12) Visitor 849951928: ok thanks. so let me ask you. and i wouldnt use this as official or anything, but do you think even on the autos it would be more or less ok with tanks if i was careful, or its almost a guarantee i fry them at some point?
(09:27:48) Tom: If you are careful I would say yes but since tanks tend to leak out of the connection of the cartomizer I would be very wary of it.
(09:29:36) Visitor 849951928: true. two last questions though. are the autos sealed? and how long do these last on a charge ballpark? i know that depends on how much you vape personally, but say you get about 3 hours on a 78mm volt, what could i expect off the 650 with a full charge?
(09:30:23) Visitor 849951928: oh and wait i have one more question after those two as well lol, sorry man
(09:31:07) Tom: They are not 100% sealed as they still have vent holes. They are smaller and better placed to reduce the risk of liquid getting in them. The MaXx should 650 battery should be about 6-8 hours
(09:31:16) Tom: That is quite alright =) shoot
(09:31:22) Visitor 849951928: ah nice ok
(09:31:42) Visitor 849951928: do they have like a 3 tap on off on the manuals to prevent from going off in my pocket?
(09:32:16) Tom: They are not. They do not have the 5 click protection. But I am sure our next batch may have them.
(09:32:47) Visitor 849951928: ok. when would that next batch come in?
(09:33:16) Tom: I am not too sure yet. We should have already ordered them but I will have to check with my higher ups when I get a chance to talk to them
(09:34:02) Visitor 849951928: true. alright last question, the 650's, about how big are they? they are a little wider then a volt or normal 808 right? and either way are they longer?
(09:34:36) Tom: Have you handled an ego battery before?
(09:35:02) Visitor 849951928: i regret to say no. i have seen them in pics though
(09:35:30) Tom: They are roughtly the same size. it is about the same diameter of a cigar
(09:35:42) Tom: and about 87mm in length
(09:36:14) Visitor 849951928: ah ok. so obviously much wider then a regular 808. basically the same size as the ego's then i take it?
(09:37:08) Tom: yes. they are the same size as a 650mAh ego
(09:37:43) Visitor 849951928: ok well thanks again. 2nd time ive been on chat with your site and you specifically, you guys are quick to respond, patient and very helpful. thanks
(09:38:47) Tom: You are very welcome. we are here to help you =)
(09:38:59) Visitor 849951928: thanks. have a good day.
(09:46:42) Tom: you too =)

Well, that answered one of my questions. No 5-click on/off for the manuals....yet.

I wonder if you can still charge these using the .5 amp wall chargers, and just not use it as a passthrough.

On the page on the site it says it includes a pass through style charger that can also be plugged into a wall charger, but it also says not to use them with your volt charger if that helps.

How to Charge
Unscrew the metal tip that is on the bottom of the battery. Take your Micro USB cable that came with your Maxx Volt Battery and plug it in to a USB Port on your computer or the 1.5amp Volt Wall Adapter. Then take the mini USB end and plug it in the spot that was under the metal piece. Where the device is plugged in will glow red while charging and turn off when finished.

Then this:

-DO NOT try to charge these with your VOLT USB Battery Chargers. Only charge using the Micro USB Cord that comes with the item.

I just spoke with Tom@SmokelessImage using chat, and he confirmed that the first shipment of the manuals do NOT have the on/off feature yet, but it will be implemented in future shipments. I also read that in the SI forum, but then I read BurnWon's conversation with Tom in this thread. So according to Tom....

As far as charging, Tom said that the 1.5 amp wall charger would charge the Maxx much faster, and that there would be no harm in using a smaller capacity wall charger. The 1.5 amp charger is only $10, so might as well pick one up anyway and have the passthrough option too start with.

Ah OK, so as you said before... no, on/off feature. Yet. Thank you for reconfirmation.
