Hi Jason, happy Monday!

Yep, very overcast and gloomy here on the Oceanside beachfront - had to put my sweats on last night and turn the heater on for about a half hour before I went to bed last night.

Be sure and give Lynn a HUGE hug:wub: for all the clean up she had to do post-party!!! Next time I am definitely staying behind and helping her clean up.

Okay, the jury's in! The following post relates to Box Elder nicotine. Some of you might remember that I posted about a month ago regarding nicotine sent to consumers that was supposed to be 100mg. Two people had bad reactions to it. One of the posters did a home nicotine mg testing kit on hers and came up with 245mg.!!!

ECF Veteran member, Kurt, who is a college chemistry professor ran tests on the juice in question. The results are criminal and horrifying. One test came out to be 262mg - enough to kill a person.

This is all the more reason to do juice business with Jason's E-Cig City since none of his juice vendors use Box Elder nicotine in their juices. Please dear friends, be careful and always ask your juice vendor where they obtain their nicotine from. And, BTW, Box Elder nicotine comes from China.

WOW, I am really glad I never got that stuff to DIY.

Hello to everyone and I am very sorry I have not been on much lately. I have been extremely busy or sick as a dog for over a week now and now I have to go back to work first thing in the AM, Good thing is that I got all of the running around done today before I had to go back to work. :D

Good Night and have an awesome Week my Friends;

Nate, this is not about DIY - this is about nicotine. If you are vaping zero nic juices, then you need not be concerned for yourself. If your juices contain nicotine, then you might want to take notice of this. Do you know where your juice company obtains it's nicotine? If not, you need to ask - your lung tissue depends on it!

For example, Company A uses Box Elder nicotine to formulate their ejuices to sell to customers. Trusting a chemical company (like most do), Company A goes ahead and mixes possibly a 262mg nicotine into the proportions 100mg should be diluted down to.

So that is what ppl need to ask their juice vendors - where the nic in their juices comes from.

Sea, thank you for posting it and saying it so clearly. I came in here to do the same ... to let everyone know to beware (be aware). There are popular vendors who use BE nic juice (am I allowed to mention them here, Jason?) and we all need to be safe, or as safe as we can, AND let others knows.

I hope you all read the thread that Sea posted with Kurt's findings. Informative, dramatic and 'in yer face' info!

Big Buzzing Hugs,

Hi kat, thanks - I have seen a lot of warnings tonight all over ECF about DIY, and that's just not the case at all. It is about NICOTINE base, not DIY. If anyone has Box Elder nic, look at your bottles. If it says Lot #256 on the bottle, your nic is not 100mg - it is actually 121mg. If it says Lot #257 on it, it is not 100mg, but it is actually 272mg. Now if you don't have bottles of nicotine, the question is: Does the person who mixes your juice have that bottle?

For example:
Box Elder, Gourmet Vaper, and Honeywell are all run by the same person. So it's not just Box Elder to watch out for, it's also any juice bought from Honeyville or Gourmet Vaper. The owner/vendor of RTS Vapes avers that there are a LOT of suppliers that buy from Box Elder. He has access to the Suppliers' Forum (we do not) where they discuss topics such as this.

Okay, that's it - g'nite all, sweet dreams. Thanks Jason for your patience.

Thank you for the phone call tonight Sea! I really do appreciate your concern and dedication to this issue, the industry, and our fellow vapers!
I hope everybody realizes what a huge concern this is and we can contain and identify whatever suspect liquid is out in the field.

Of course you can mention any vendors you want here Kat,
I do not see any vendors as competitors, the more vendors there are the easier it will be for the vaping community to get supplies they need. :)
I wish there were e-cig shops on every street corner!

Oh I know it's not SEA, but BE was the liquid base I was looking at getting before all this came about when I was contemplating DIY. I have found absolute satisfaction with the Liquids I get from the Shop and the Vendors sold there. If J has it at the store I buy it there, if not I get it directly from the vendor who makes it :D And I do not believe that any of the varieties he sells there are made with B.E. Nic. I could be wrong but I am at least 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% Positive :D
