So, who makes a flavorant that is like candy caramel...you know, the gooey halloween kind like Krafts?? Any suggestions...that's what I want :)

Flavor West Caramel Candy or TPA Caramel or Capella's caramel are all good. I honestly think VZ's caramel should be renamed toffee---JMO. My favorite is the FW one.

I've been hearing a lot of people talking about Flavor West; I'll try that, and the Capella one too. There's a guy on here that has these incredible recipes he's been posting and he uses almost all Capella flavors so I already started putting a list together. Do you know of a member on here called STR8Vaping? Pretty amazing sounding recipes :)

Honey Flue Cure, where have you've been, since I've been vaping!!??!! DAMN!!!!

What's cool about it is, when I play with the voltage, I can get either more honey or tobacco!!!
Now your talkin Jimi, The all time Top of the vape list! I got it in a tie with Dunhill now and I never thought I would be saying that!!!

Any recipes you see are just a guide. Your tastebuds, the ratio of PG and VG you use, as well as your nic base will determine how it tastes to you personally. If a person posts a recipe and you vape a different ratio it may taste underflavored or overflavored to you---depending on your chosen ratio.

A recipe is a starting point that you can tweak to your liking. I hope you have good luck with the recipes. I am sure you can post directly to the recipe posts you are talking about to talk to that member. Also what device and what voltage you vape at will affect taste.

I can vape the vanilla alone or mixed with about anything. The floral notes turn to a hint of cinnamon with a bit of steeping IMO. The Vanilla is one of the flavors that I hope to get a big bottle of soon.

BTW- Look at the label on that Now VG. I used to use it exclusively but last year there were some changes made. It went from being in a purple bottle and being USP, to being in a clear bottle and being food grade. Might not matter to you but I thought I would mention it.
I vape the Vanilla as a stand alone and I like it a lot and I can mix this with about anything as well - its my favorite Vanilla! The now VG not being labeled "USP" does not bother me, I still trust there brand and its sold all over the world but "USP" is only good here in the U.S. so they now just put (Food Grade) on the Bottle.

Time to vape the Banana. Smells like a Costa Rican jungle...lol

Costa Rican jungle...LOL :) I just mixed that one too, and you're right...it reminded me of being in Dominical when the fruit vendor would make his morning stops! This is the first one of the four flavors I got that I really like right off the batch. Are you experiencing any improvements after they steep?

In regard to steeping, do you have any recommended way to do it. I saw someone mention something about "giving them a hot bath" Any ideas???

I am new on here and have already got a ton of help from all of your posts, and also some one-on-one help earlier today...so just wanted to throw my 2 cents worth in here by giving my feedback on the four VZ Concentrated flavors I got now that I am effectively mixing them:

I got Banana, Caramel, Ameretto, and Cherry. I made a 3ml sample batch of each and tried each over the last two days. The Banana I like a lot. The Cherry is not what I was hoping for and is too sour...I thought it would be more sweet like Bing cherries; that's what I wanted. Any ideas on why it's sour? I heard several people describe it as being perfectly sweet just like fresh Bing cherries and that's what made me order it. I am mixing at 24mg Nic (planning to drop to 18, then 12 weekly) Maybe too much Nic makes the Cherry taste sour??? My PG/VG is 60/40. I've been trying different ratios between 50/50 and 80/20.

The Ameretto was ordered by mistake...I was thinking of Anise when I ordered it and wanted Licorice flavor and of course it is not. It's OK and is kind of growing on me actually.

The Caramel is just weird. It is not the Kraft's candy kind of taste, like a gooey caramel Halloween taste. I dont know how to describe it but it's not like candy, that's for sure, and the smell is freakin unpleasant. It actually is more of a tobacco taste than caramel, and still that way even though I made a new sample at 1%. I just don't like it.

Lots of you are talking about steeping it, so I am following your lead and doing that. Anybody have input on technique: I heard one of you mention "giving it a warm bath" and leaving it open to air. Is that effective? If a juice should be steeped, how long is good...like how do you know when it has peaked.

And once it has reached it's full flavor, how do you preserve it...refrigerate it? Just curious for input, and I know there are tons of posts on this but I'm curious for those who are now using this VZ concentrate.

Thanks!

The fruit flavors usually take a day or two to kick in. You could also give it a hot bath for 10 minutes to melt the vg.

The cherry was tart at the beginning, but will sweeten in time..:) Just store the juice in a cool dark place, such as a cabinet.

sturner6 I agree with you on the caramel as it is just wierd, but oddly enough it works well with other flavors. I've mixed it with several things and it adds a nice note, but must be used sparingly. I bet it would work well with the banana you have maybe at a 5 to 1 ratio (banana/caramel). If I get a little time this week I may just play with that mix myself.
